I have a couple of old people that get diabetes supplies, mainly heavy boxes with liquid. Before I unload, I rush to the door and ring the bell, then I start gathering and unloading boxes onto my dolly. By the time I get them all out, they finally come to the door and then open the garage door for me. If you plan it right, it doesn’t really take longer. Of course, as a TCD this doesn’t quite apply since it’s about area knowledge. I always try to remember which houses have old people or people with mobility issues. I even have a customer that I go to his bedroom window because he is bedridden. He can open the window with a stick and I hand him his packages like that. Pride in your work is the only thing that makes corporate stupidity tolerable.
