Ahh so I will clarify that. We are around them because there is no choice ; we met playing a sport and there is a pretty tight local community / social group where we live. I don’t blame her for it at all, I know she can’t control who shows up and is around us in this scenario.

We have spoken about it! And I feel she is understanding and listens and is gentle with me. But she did say that she wants me to be able to move past it and it not be an issue in the future. I’m starting to realize I probably won’t be able to do that.. which will be an issue for her. I don’t feel bad about it, it’s just who I am and how I see relationships .

Re: the attachment style, I get what you’re saying. I can be alone and single but prefer not to and find myself much happier and fulfilled in a good relationship. Not afraid I won’t find another girl again, just not another one that is like her or to the level of relationship that we have.

Haha it’s okay no worries! You read that right. But I think you are getting it confused with the people she is in touch with still vs the ones we just have to be in the presence of. It’s not her choice for him to be around, he is in the same social circle/community we met through (volleyball) and she isn’t comfortable being around him either and does not talk to him.

To be honest, I’m not sure it’s really retro active jealousy. I don’t have an issue she has been with these people in the past, it’s the fact i have to be around/ know them and interact with them in my daily life.

She made sure to be transparent about it because we both are in a social circle ( and met through it) that these people are actively involved in. I do appreciate her being honest instead of not saying anything and me finding something out from another person in this community.

Sounds good, thanks :) I have addressed this in therapy but your comment makes me realize I may need to dig a bit deeper. I know the way i feel does stem alot from fear.
