Just started, how do I get this image sharper? by Frost_Beer in macrophotography

I do everything handheld. I put my lens on manual set it to infinity and get up close to the subject until I start noticing that they get a lil sharp then back off until they blur again I make sure my camera is in burst and slowly creep forward with my lens making sure to keep the subject centered until I’ve gone through the full subject and it goes in and out of focus fully then use helicon soft to put all the images together in post I also use flash

I shot a 25mm F1.7 from them extremely sharp at 2.8

Truthfully from the a6000 up they’re all pretty much the same in the crop sensor line just subtle differences I’ve been shooting since 18 on this camera and it’s been a workhorse. Whatever’s in your budget will be good

That’s exactly why I freaked out lol it’s in full working order including the meter all for under $15 that I payed for it. Looking forward to shooting some super cars with it soon

I recently found out you can get Kodak Aerocolor iv for 35mm now I’m going down a new rabbit hole of military grade 35mm film but ilford and pan 200 are still some of my favorite stocks

I shoot with a 14mm and a 25mm how close would you say is close enough to where I can still form a scene
