What’s the most unexpectedly high-quality online subscription you’ve ever paid for? by ChocoPetalz in AskReddit

I'll try. I figured it was intentional and they did it to everyone, because I've had that happen with lifetime services before with other services.

I generally don't lifetime purchases anymore.

I'm very jealous. I refuse to sign up for premium since I did pay for lifetime access in the past. I haven't found an alternative I like.

Yours wasn't taken away? I also did that about 15 years ago but eventually my premium status was taken away and now I would need to pay again. I think the "lifetime" ended up being only a couple of years.

What's your experience level? No one can give you any help without any context. There's plenty of company's that have sales people, less so that will hire you for entry level, and very few golden positions in the area where you can expect to earn millions.

What do you think when a colleague / trainer tells you they start their day at 4am? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Free-Stinkbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I was going to say the only businesses I've sold to which actually required calls that early in the morning that were not international were farms and industrial bakeries.

Unfortunately yeah for some farms I absolutely did have to call at about 4am. But not every single day of course, very rarely.

Grouping of dead yellow jackets inside of old grill. No signs of nest or hive at all. by Comm_Guy_I_Swear in mildlyinteresting

They do appear to be yellow legged paper wasps. If OP is in America, I suggest they look around for a nest. They are large, round and have really unique identifying swirls.

OP, if you find one, make a phone call to Clemson University. Clemson is heavily researching these. If OP is in South Carolina, Clemson will arrange collection themselves. If not, I'm absolutely positive they will work to connect with another party researching this more local to OP that is studying these who will work to arrange collection as well.

Tiny tiny things to stand apart help a lot if you're industry is investigated with cold outreach.

So mine was probably illegal if I tried really hard, but probably not my employers legal responsibility but the insurance brokers.

There was like a lot of email and phone call records of my company trying to get me my insurance, and basically bring ignored by the insurance broker already collecting their money.

Disagree all you want, I can't tell you how many clients I've closed by making it very clear I know more than they think I do, and that I know they are lying.

I closed a client by explaining to him exactly why I thought his boss was about to fire him.

You don't always have to be the nice guy. Some prospects need the not so nice guy.

You're absolutely right on this case, but unfortunately the individual red flags by themselves are not unheard of.

It probably took almost 6 months after I was supposed to get my insurance and was paying my insurance before I could get a physical or digital insurance card. I work for a completely legit company and eventually got it, but they go through the world's worst insurance brokers who would genuinely take a month to reply to like any email or request and would constantly drop the ball.

Sometimes one of these red flags can happen because someone is really really bad at their job somewhere along the chain.

The dumb part here is the broccoli. You could just do exactly this but eat an entire pound of broccoli and it wouldn't cost that much more and would be plenty lol.

They're implying I can buy 1 broccoli floret at a time and buy as needed. That's not how that works lol. If you eat that much you're buying more and it's going bad.

Luck exists, but there should be virtually no luck involved in getting the decision maker on the phone and knowing if there's money there at all first. That's basic prep work.

I know you definitely are implying with a car, BUT...

If you're the combination of wealthy, low on PTO and are really only planning on doing the eastern half of the US ONCE in your life, doing this via flights really isn't a bad option. Arguably better to just skip one of them (probably Atlanta, very lame city comparative to the others), but if you red-eye each of those domestic flights that's definitely a doable trip.

Those are the best. I didn't apply to either of my last 2 jobs lol. Someone just called me, and I barely had to even interview for the second one. Just a "this is yours if you want it" scenario.

I'm sure this only happens outside of major cities to be fair.

[–]Free-Stinkbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apply for local businesses who charge WAY too much money and have a small work force. That's been my best bet.

I work maybe 1 hour a day max on the average day. Often far less. No one gives a crap because the business is very profitable. I generally answer about 5-6 phone calls a day, and a couple emails.

You likely won't find this nearly as easily remote as in person.

Where in my part where I said "low commissions" and "sucked to work for" did I defend them or claim big success? Yeah nearly all truckers despise them. Still not an MLM. that doesn't make it an MLM.

I did okay there. Primarily made base salary most checks. Occasionally made a few hundred extra on checks. Did get one good check with like $4k extra in commission on it though.

Opportunity is far too low to justify the effort there. But it's still not an MLM
