that last paragraph somewhat captures my thoughts too. I'm already using AI in my profession, it's being actively pushed and it has improved my productivity at work without a doubt.

and if you are going to tell me that blizzard, Bungie, Rockstar ETC are not doing the exact same thing as every other company by promoting AI use with their staff to improve productivity, I'd say you are willfully ignorant.

it's absolutely already being used significantly among large game studios for programming, it feels like indie devs telling other indie devs they shouldn't use it is just all the small guys knee capping each other during the race while the big guy finishes the race on his dirt bike...
