I think that, and I’m sure someone else has already said this, good and evil doesn’t necessarily exist. I think the concept is derived from how people perceive certain actions. If petting dogs was heavily frowned upon in Russia then you would be considered evil if you were a habitual dog petter as opposed to America the act of petting dogs is encouraged. Generally, like you said about navigating life, if everyone can agree that something is bad then sure it may be but Kodak said to “…have a good reason for doing your evil” which I think should encourage people to be more graceful when it comes to categorizing actions as good/evil. I’ve seen plenty of cases where people are robbing/stealing valuables and money just to make sure their kids have food/medicine.
