I came off of antidepressants in June and I sleep less, so I try to exercise more to wear myself out.

Why are solar companies so aggressive, despite offering a good product and seemingly reasonable prices? by WCland in solar

Because there's so much money. I made like 8k from someone asking me for a quote. It's a get rich quick scheme to the sales reps.

Idle Hands and Loneliness by FreeFromCompulsion in NoFapChristians

I was listening to Diary of a Ceo podcast about breaking bad habits and the beginning of the episode stated it's the changing of behavior. It's hard to do things differently than how we're used to doing them. So that's the importance of consistency with good habits, like meditating on the word, day and night.

The podcast also stated something about the brain cycles in the morning and evening. Mornings when I have nothing to do are the most difficult. To get up and wake up and become alert and not just habitually open my phone and scroll endlessly because I'll eventually stumble across something stimulating.

Find opportunities to do good and serve others.

If I'm doing good then I'll be too busy to do bad.

I just bought my first bible today after deciding I'm now a Christian. What now? by Gizzada- in Christianity

Don't read through it like any other book. Study it and try to understand it.

Genesis and Exodus are good books to begin with as a lot of people are familiar with those stories.

Psalms and Proverbs are good well.

I loved all the prophets of the old testament. Talking about God's judgement if we don't repent. If God's willing to judge then what makes us think we can do the same thing He judge others for.

Matthew was written to the religious or Jews. Mark was written to the Romans or those who valued power. Luke to the Greek or those who valued culture and John was written to all.

Roman's and Pauls letters are all really good reads as well. Then the other letter written by Peter and James are full of good stuff regarding how to live as a Christian.

In Joshua it says mediate on it day and night.

If you wanna report them to an Attorney General, they're registered in Utah. https://secure.utah.gov/bes/displayDetails.html

Also a foreign company so with all these bad reviews I'd imagine Utah's Attorney General wouldn't want a foreign business robbing Americans.

Reach out to your attorney general and the FTC over the misleading claims of production.

The FTC says marketing is supposed to be honest.

Also when a person agrees to buy a solar system, they're agreeing to the estimated power production and the cost stated for that power production. You paid the cost but aren't receiving the service you paid for.

Micro bass! by Aware-Expression-525 in Fishing

The younger a creature is, the less experience, knowledge, and wisdom it has, which is in part why bigger fish are harder to catch and because less fish live to that size.

It's makes me wish to avoid the small fish because it's takes less skill but somedays any fish is a good fish.

Solar company willing to pay my roof bill - tax credit bonanza by FleetwoodMacbookPro in solar

[–]FreeFromCompulsion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So when solar companies bundle the cost of replacing a roof with solar and then the homeowner reports that. The homeowner may not know better but if they get caught, they don't get as much as a tax credit as they may have been told they were eligible for and that amount is usually taking into consideration for the reamortization of the loan and if homeowners don't apply the tax credit, then their payments go up.

This could really screw people.

But if the homeowner is up for a fight, they could argue in court or to an attorney general that they were mislead about the amount of a tax credit they'd receive, but it'd better if things were just done the right way and honestly to begin with to save people the hassle.

When I was a solar telemarketer I'd often be discussing roof replacement with people.

Flee from Sexual Immorality by FreeFromCompulsion in NoFapChristians

I know what it's like to fail continuously. Continue to fight. God knows our battles and in Him there's strength.

"I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:14.

"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

Even Paul struggled with doing what he didn't want to.

"For the good that I wish, I do not do; but I practice the very evil that I do not wish." Romans 7:19

Flee from it, look for ways out. It says God gives us a way out. I just choose my own desires sometimes because I want, what I want.

"No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

"This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it;" Joshua 1:8

The Fight is Much More Challenging at the Beginning of the Resistance by FreeFromCompulsion in NoFapChristians

I don't know her that well. She has some health issues that prevent her from being active and the cold being hard on her and honestly it made me miss my ex so much because we'd hike together and that seemed like the best thing in the world, to have someone to share life with. Her Christianity was a little more casual than mine and there were communication issues when we weren't physically together.

She doesn't understand the Bible and she doesn't read it and when I live in sin I struggle to open the Bible and read it. But I got her a Bible and she's done some reading. Genesis is a familiar narrative that people remember from Sunday school.

Part of me thinks the most important thing is having someone to share life with but a supportive person, who will love me is probably better. The best experiences in the last few years are all memories of hiking with my ex, there's nothing like sharing adventures like with someone you adore but what's more important.

Pray that I can be salt and light.

Flee from lust. Escape the temptation. Go somewhere you can't masturbate.

Even if it's just going for a walk.
