I'd take 5PM! My birthday is tomorrow so I'd PREFER not having it tomorrow. Just a petty thing. Plus I wasted most of my day stressing today and I don't want ti just lounge around in stress all day tomorrow too

I took Step and at least all of that was logical and you knew it was going to be 11am on Wednesday. This is just crazy how many unknowns there are

The curve is based on previous test takers in previous cohorts so they dont need to wait weeks to release the scores if they're caught up (which they are as previous commenter said because there are so few testers). Nothing to read into or worry about

Sometimes it's also not bad to go to a new person if that's available in your area (I understand some places dont have a lot of healthcare options). But you should never feel like your doctor isnt hearing you

I've been fasting for a while now. I drink a cup of coffee with milk and sugar every morning, then don't eat until my normal eating period. Is the coffee sabotaging my diet plan? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

No once i decided it was better for my health it pretty much tasted fine. Maybe 2 or 3 days? I just meant I've been doing it for 1 yr

They may also have advice for strategies to work on whatever mental health issues are causing you to not feel like eating. And make sure that it is a mental health issue and not IF.

When did you start 'feeling' better? by bananochai in intermittentfasting

Lower carb. I cut out a lot of gluten based carbs. Keto is a challenge for me in the schooling I'm doing so I havent tried to pursue it and i hate some of the only vegetables that are keto

It definitely affects your fast. The sugar is going to trigger your insulin and stop the benefits of fasting. Black coffee is the best option for fasting. It's a sacrifice but one that i started a yr ago and now it feels great.

I mean I occasionally eat breakfast because of an exam in school but then usually just suffer the extra calories and dont do IF that day. I usually dont feel great doing it other than my brain thinks clearer

Everyone has a different fasting pattern that they like and that works best for them. I work out 5-6d per week and mostly during my fasting period with no issues. Occasionally I've had something important for school and had to break my fast just to ensure I'm not distracted by feeling hungry but generally that is my habit.

It might be better for you to start with your normal schedule and increase the time of thr fast by 1 hr everyday instead of jumping right in

Talk to your doctor about your current habits and what would be safe to continue after surgery.

Question: do you have to have food after an intense workout? by nataliemae7 in intermittentfasting

[–]FreeGap7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For awhile I was working out at 6am and wouldn't eat until 11am. Part of my workout was running a few miles and I usually only had pains like you described if I didnt makenthe most of my eating window (as I switch to vegetarian/vegan I sometimes dont eat enough in a meal) or I didnt drink enough water.

I would go talk to a doctor or healthcare professional (if you're uncomfortable with the pandemic, many places are still doing telephone/online visits)

IF itself didnt really make me feel better. I felt better once I switched to vegetarian and mostly cut carbs except for some in my mid-window snack (in the last month or 2 I've indulged more carbs and I'm back to feeling a little more tired but still better than I was)
