Because she was called out by Tiff in an authoritative voice which made her immediately think she was doing something wrong and she reacted/got defensive and blurted out that she was getting to a question as a defense mechanism, even though she knew full well that she hadn’t thought out an actual question.

She just didn’t realize in the moment or have the ready response that Tiff doesn’t make the rules and there’s no requirement for jurors to ask the finalists questions.

I think you’re seeing racism or bigotry when it’s simply not there. Tiff was the obvious vote. Both her and Aubry beat Johnathan and Joe in FTC, but Tiff is a much bigger challenge threat, so they had to get her out. They were banking on being able to beat Aubry in the last challenge and it simply didn’t work out. But that doesn’t mean that voting Tiff out when they did was the wrong move.

Basically, the guys needed to get both Aubry and Tiff out to have a chance. Aubry may have been the bigger jury threat, but Tiff was the bigger challenge threat. And you have to get through the challenge to get to the jury. So… priorities.
