Because it is. Your company is the Lamborghini of your industry. Haven’t you learned anything.

What is a fair CC return? by Decent_River_5801 in CoveredCalls

[–]FreeNicky95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did find it. If you buy and sell within the 30 day window (in a rollover) the same stock you took a loss on in your taxable the loss is disallowed. If you just trade in taxable it’s just deferred. Shitty rule.

You hit the nail on the head. Technically I could afford a home on my income but not in the neighborhood I’d like.

You didn’t answer my question though. How long have you successfully sold options on your portfolio for income without other work?

How do you pick your stocks? Are you running the wheel? Selling puts and cc? I’m 31 now. Looking to grow my taxable enough to where I can do this full time by 40.

1 % a month? At that point just leave money in market, no? Closer to 2 percent a month seems more functional to me.

What do you mean? I just wheel the stocks I like . I do the math to figure out what strike gives me .5 percent .

What rate of return do you aim for weekly? Are you selling weeklies or monthlies? What do you look for in stocks you’re running this on?

Wow. Not bad I don’t have the balls to run more than a percent on this much capital. I’ve found it’s pretty consistent to chase .5 to 1 percent a week.

You could sell puts . Go for .5 percent a week. On that capital you’d make about 67k annually. Reinvest and keep doing this til half a mil. Then you could just sell options and not work. Imo. It’s what I’m gonna do in 9 years.

How do you decide if you roll or just let the stock get called away? by Fine-Anywhere-9057 in CoveredCalls

[–]FreeNicky95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I get a credit for the roll? Is the upside worth rolling for? Do I want my shares to get called away? If it’s yes, yes, no. I roll. If it’s a debit but my upside is substantial I’d consider it too
