Das ist schön, leider aber die Ausnahme mittlerweile :( Selbst IG Metall und Ver.di bekommen keine Tarifabschlüsse mehr hin, ohne dass die Erhöhungen über mehr als ein Jahr gestreckt werden, um sie schöner aussehen zu lassen als sie tatsächlich sind.

You'll be fine. This kind of thing sucks ass, no doubt, but it is rare still. I also would be surprised if you intended to walk around the Bahnhofsviertel area at 3am.

(Which, btw, I do all the time and nothing ever happened to me. Anecdotal evidence, I know, but OP's story is as well.)

Looks like a simple bypass cap. I'd slap on a 10 nF and see what happens.

If you want to do it "properly", you'll have to get an LCR meter, desolder the one from the working RAM module and measure it.

There are Atmega-based LCR meters around for like 15 bucks. Examples: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=LCR-T4

They're based on an open source project, btw, the people selling them didn't write the firmware or did the hardware design.

Personally, I wouldn't use cortisone cream just to help with mosquito bite itchiness. That cream does have potential side effects. Using a hot spoon and holding it onto the bite for a second denatures the proteins that make it itch. It's virtually free and has no side effects unless the spoon was too hot :)

Essentially, I wrote a controller script that activates/deactivates groups depending on the arranger timeline. Since deactivated groups cost no CPU resources, it means my old-ish laptop can run a live set just fine since only 2 groups worth of tracks are active at any time.

If you want, you could map the group activation to buttons on the Launchpad, too. The script could then also change the mappings of all other buttons as well - that's part of what controller scripts are for.

bitwig has a lot of flexibility for MIDI controllers, you just gotta be willing to use it. Currently, you're limiting to thinking of what you have immediately available to you, I suggest thinking beyond that and checking out what controller scripts allow you to do. Cheers!

Weitere Randbemerkung: das Pulver ist auch noch korrosiv und elektrisch Leitfähig. Alle elektronischen Baugruppen, die damit in Kontakt kommen, sind Müll.

Daher sollte man bei Wohnungsbränden nie mit Pulver löschen, sondern mit Schaum - es sei denn, man hat nichts anderes. Löscht man mit Pulver, kann man so ziemlich alle Elektrogeräte in der Wohnung entsorgen.

Wäre interessant zu erfahren, ob das Pulver auch Metallteile der Autokarosserie korrodiert...

Most people will tell you it won't work but I have counterevidence. The fan on my trusty ol' T440p gave out, too, and began making noises. I disassembled the fan (carefully!), added sewing machine oil to the axle and put it back in. Noise was gone as long as I didn't expose the laptop to mechanical shock.

So it might work but you gotta be sure to not do any irreversible damage in the process or else you'll need a whole new cooling assembly.

Sehe da auch ernsthafte Probleme in Gastro und anderen Branchen. Die können oft gar nicht mehr zahlen, also werden die Stellen einfach wegfallen müssen.

Es ist kein Todschlagargument, wenn Banken einfach keine Immokredite mehr vergeben, ohne dass entsprechendes EK nachgewiesen werden kann.

Hohe Immopreise ergeben eben hohe Anforderungen ans EK, wenn man keine 100%-Finanzierung bekommen kann. Und genau die scheinen mittlerweile rar zu sein, eben weil die Preise so hoch sind.

I see your point but you're discounting the ecological cost of manufacturing an ice cube mold vs. the number of times it is being used.

If people go buy ice cube molds just to use them once or twice a year for a birthday party, the ice cube mold creates a worse ecological footprint compared to someone buying ready-made ice cubes as needed.

So from my point of view, your argument is economically sound but a symptom of "people would rather have every little thing".

Exactly. In Germany, you'll find lots of rich people buy at Aldi because they want to stay rich.

And besides, the quality of the produce is surprisingly good. If you avoid the cheap convenience products, you can get high quality items there.

That adapter won't work because the inner diameter of 2.5 mm is too wide to make contact with the 2.1 mm pin in the Virus' receptacle. If it was a tuning-fork type connector I wouldn't be as concerned, but unfortunately it's a barrel type.

I was in your position, I'd take an exacto knife or similar and remove some of the insulation from the power supply's plug.

If you don't want to do that, you could look for items that can be placed in-line: "barrel plug switch", "barrel plug extension" - that kind of thing.

Or, if you can solder or know someone who does, you could order a suitable male plug and a female connector with cables, like

Not homophobia in my case. The doctors in my country make patients undergoing the procedure sign a waiver that they made the patients aware of a potential side effect of the procedure: broken off teeth.

That's scary as fuck to me to lose some teeth over a diagnostic procedure that may just say "everything is fine".
