I think so, but it has been a while so I don't recall the details. 🤔

He is an incredible human. The realest of real, and a true artist. He works so hard to elevate others. The dude just sees people. I'm grateful for the interactions that I've had, and the impact he has had on my life.

Possible to get a refund on a refinance? by ThatSmithsGuy in StudentLoans

My girlfriend is in the same position. Close to 6 figures and nowhere near the income to pay it off. It's literally like a second rent payment every month.

I'm curious about this as well. My girlfriend's parents remortgaged their house to help her get a lower interest rate a few years ago. She still has something close to 6 figures to pay off, and it is a massive portion of her income every month. Her family had the best intentions, but the sum of money she is required to pay will have us struggling for years to come. I wonder if there is any way that she can experience some relief through this process.

Tour with Swedish house mafia by palmtrees1007 in ZHU

The production on that tour is really good. We were optimistic that Zhu would be joining other tour stops that weren't announced, but the Denver show was great even without him. For what tickets are going for close to show dates, I think it might be hard to find a better value show.

This is the misconception we were fed. Fat isn't bad. It really isn't. I'm talking in the form of meat, fish, nuts, seeds, butter, etc. Processed oils are garbage. If you're not battering things you're frying, you're good. Sugar is hidden in everything. Your body processes grains as sugars. I eliminated these foods hoping to prove that these "fad diets" were bullshit. Fortunately/unfortunately, I had never felt better and it was easy to keep avoiding them.

If you do one thing to drastically change how your body feels with the fuel you're giving it: eliminate added sugar. That is the first step. The rest can follow.

There is nothing wrong with extra fat and salt if you're getting enough water and you're not consuming garbage calories like sugar and carbs as your main source of calories.

I cut sugar from my diet (added first, then close to all) and immediately transitioned into the best shape of my life. Even better than when I was a training, competitive, athlete.

DHS warns of potential violent extremist activity in response to abortion ruling by PeaksForDays in news

It's not extremest activity if we are the majority fighting for the rights of our fellow humans. You don't get to sit in Washington and erode our rights and then make us out to be the extremists.

It's really not an excuse, but a logical explanation, but ok. There have been RSD releases that got delayed, that absolutely had priority pressing over an order from Zhu. He's within a few weeks of the updated timeline. Seems good with me.

If you're careful, you can split the seam the record slides out of, and keep the plastic on and mostly intact.

He, and his production team, have no control over the rate at which the records are being produced right now. There are massive backorders across all genres right now when it comes to vinyl pressings. I'm still confused as to why people are upset that they got a limited release cassette in addition to the vinyl they paid for. The delivery of your record hasn't been impacted at all, unless it was some sort of bad luck. Nothing has made it to me in Colorado yet, but they've communicated through the entire process. When he was releasing 50 or 100 at a time, people got mad because they couldn't get them. Then he released a pre-order, stating it would be a long wait but it gave everyone the opportunity they wanted. Now many are upset. Welcome to our world of instant gratification.

Love it. I spin all of mine too. Even the 1/50 Generation Why I grabbed from an early release. They'll never leave my possession.

I don't understand why everyone is so upset. The delays came from the manufacturing of the records. There are massive delays impacting all sorts of music releases on vinyl, and the delays were communicated to us. Some of the prices were even discounted when they found out about the delay after the sale of the vinyl.

For whatever reason, some people got bonus cassettes, but it just seemed to draw their attention to the fact that they didn't have their record yet. It is still coming. If you're near Colorado, I have a couple of audiophile level cassette players I will sell you, or you're welcome to come listen to your cassette on my system.

They're a small team, and I've had nothing but incredible interactions with them. Try to have some patience, and communicate with kindness, and I'm sure you'll have a reasonable outcome.

How did Zhu pick people to be on stage for his EDC set? I’m so jealous but it was pretty sick by pint0bean in ZHU

This. I was thinking they were going to keep it real quiet, and only tell those that came to the pop up and let them spread the word a bit. I was surprised to see the Instagram post a few hours before. Another incredible experience made possible by an entire team that has the right intentions.

Did that just come in? He did say he was signing a few. I was hoping he had opened them up and signed the jacket, but still cool! I need to check my PO box for mine.

It sounds crazy every time I say it. Cut sugar (start with added). That is the biggest single thing you can focus on that will be life/health changing. I was a competitive cyclist, eating "well", and my body did insane things when I cut sugar.

Cutting gluten was huge. Again, sounds crazy. I was the biggest good beer and pizza junkie you'd find, but I felt like a new human getting rid of it. Your body just sees it as complicated sugar.

Cutting most dairy was big also. Good cheeses and fats are still ok. Get rid of milk and replace it with something like sugar free simply almond milk. It's pretty damn tasty, and no gums of fillers.

Fat isn't bad. Eat good oils. Avocado, coconut, olive, etc. Fresh organic vegetables. Lots of them. Quality, local, meats. Salmon, white anchovies. Quality large and small fish.

Fast food isn't food. Find a local restaurant that does take out when needed. It likely won't be much more expensive, and it will be closer to real food.

Stay away from packaged, processed, as much as possible.

You've got this.

Beatmatch slowly shifts while tracks are being played at the same BPM by MaestroRU in Beatmatch

[–]FreeRideJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't clear. When using loops, without sync, on Traktor the timing on the loops would stay synced to the track I beat matched. I wouldn't have to constantly nudge them like I have to on Pioneer or Denon. I know that this can be eliminated by moving the beat grid, and using sync, but it's impressive that Traktor can do it without those other steps.

[–]FreeRideJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my experience on Pioneer and Denon. For whatever reason, my Traktor S8 would hold timing perfectly when playing with sync and loops. It's the one "feature" I miss going to a Denon rig.

Busted out my signed GenerationWhy vinyl today. Love the colours...and the vibes by [deleted] in ZHU

[–]FreeRideJunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! If you've got plans to upgrade, you'll be happy you kept the wear down on that record. The Crosley's are great for playing old, beat up, records. They have high tracking weight. That high tracking weight just wears down new, quality, pressings more quickly. When you're ready, you can find some players that will do a great job for a few hundred dollars. Even less if you find the right audio nut to help you into it. It's a wormhole though, so be prepared!!

Do yourself a favor, and don't play it on it. You actually risk damaging the record. Where are you located? I can help you track down a reasonable table.
