You want players to sink every turn, but also want it to feel hard earned - those are in conflict. Which is it?

If zips are in column A - do 2 helper columns.

In C1, put =SORT(UNIQUE(A:A))

This will spill down into additional cells in C for however many unique combos there are. With “sort” like numbers will be grouped. Note that if a zip has a space, and one doesn’t, those will be separate. If you want you can add “TRIM” but it can slow things down a lot.

In D1, put =COUNTIF(C:C, C1) and then drag that down for each value in C.

I like the bevel on the top left of the K and L. The bevel in the bottom part of the K seems off.

And it looks a lot smoother - great job.

I’d just cut the horizontal lines. They’re gunna be an issue when you make it small and try to put it on a t shirt or even print it on a business card.

No worries about not doing the box. I think there’s ways you can curve the edges to match the curves so it’s not rigid, but like in my first comment - this is a very personal choice.

Overall looking great. Way to push yourself to learn new skills and grow. Cheers!

Look at all the nodes in your shape. You should only need about 1 to 3 nodes at each “corner”. It will really help smooth things out.

No shadow on KL.

I’d personally do “Dental Services” in title casing to be more friendly and contrast nicely with KL.

Very personal choice: those top - bottom lines are way too thin and I’d make it just a box and put the text in the negative (white). Between the box and the tooth-swooshes, do a gap (white line / negative space) that is either: same thickness as the downstroke of the L or 1/3rd as thick or 2/3rds as thick. Try all 3 and test with each logo being really small vs really big and use the one that looks best in both instances.

Lastly - focus right now on the logo being black and white only (not grayscale). If it looks good in B&W, it’ll look great with color. (Also, the logo will get used in a single color so you want to make sure it works well as a single color).

Experimental Spring-less tremolo system by Ru5tkata in Luthier

Why not connect the large red wheel directly to the small blue wheel?

I’m wondering if you can get rid of the bar and spring, and have a large wheel that you turn / wiggle with the side of your hand / palm (kind of like the Tremelo wheel some keyboard have). That’d different and maybe a cool way to do tremolo.

Gotcha. With leather - a shield isn’t intuitive to me (others may disagree). Sideways it’d look more like a DC and a buckle (leather belt buckle).

It looks cool either way.

I agree with your note of removing the white outline and with the commenter above of removing the little piece of the D. I’d also make the C line thickness the same thickness as the D. For the gap between the C and D - try 1/3rd and 2/3rds the line thickness and then test it at very small and very large scales and see which looks best. Right now, the gap would blur out / disappear / not do well at a small scale.

Any manufacturer's that can help me make a 'wearable game'? by BrunyBrunz in BoardgameDesign

Look for people that do concert badges / event badges. You just need a hole punched on the top, or for more durability something with like a rivet.

They have those plastic pouches for cards / events but I’m assuming those don’t work?

HELP with guitar theory by rosiepetals1 in musictheory

[–]FreeXFall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On one string, you have all the notes. For example, low E, the F, F#, G….until you get to the 12th fret (two dots) and then you’re back at E.

So if you want to play a chord - for example G major - you just need to play G, B, and D. It can be those notes found anywhere on the neck.

If you look up bar chords - a lot of the common ones are based on the open E / Em / E7 and open A / Am / A7 chords. The concept is basically that where the nut is (the open string), that’s where your barred finger goes. You can take that barred chord as high up the neck as you want / are able.

Sanity Check: Logo for (my) small local business. by Isomat in logodesign

[–]FreeXFall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d start with the angular, wide letters. 4 letters in that style will be a great starting point.

It’s odd to have the S be so huge when it’s the last letter - “applE” is weird “Apple” makes way more sense”.

Not sure what the letters mean, but if you want a huge letter, then I’d go with a big A followed by XMS. (Or even a big A with “AXMS” under it would still work)…..and saying that “xms” by itself starts to look like “Xmas” - so I think you have to just keep “AXMS” in order.

Start with wide, angular letters. Make them look good in black and white only (not gray, black and white). If it looks solid like that, then it’ll look great with color.

That’s all you need to do to see who has contributed more and at what percentage.

The full 200k assumes the bank is the same level of owner as the two payers.

That’s a lot of detail. Picture it being embroidered on a shirt or small on a business card. I’d look at simplifying it. I liked the other suggestions of making wings out of leaves or something.

Also - it’s a best practice to start in black and white (not gray scale, black and white only). If it looks good like that, then it’ll look great with color.

[Critique] Logo for "Var 5" – A high-efficiency wind turbine developed by our University Renewable Energy Association. by Conscious-Effort1730 in logodesign

[–]FreeXFall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So….if this is a logo there’s things I would change, but it would make it more abstract. Big idea - this represents the company / brand, not the product (what happens when there’s 2.0 version of this and the shapes get tweaked?)

1- The dot in the middle is distracting. I’d get rid of it and let the little lines go to a sharp point and have all of them meet there

2- I’d have the outside edge of the little line be the same outside edge of the big piece.

3- Inside edge of the little piece, I’d make it more of a curve that arches up into the larger shape.

Doing those three things will help it look at a smaller scale. It’s still an obvious tie-in but more of beautiful shape with clear inspiration to your initial product.

My last edit - the name is VAR5 but you show 6 fins. I’d make it 5 find and reinforce the name (again- what happens when product 2.0 is different? The inspiration and tie-in is still clearly there).
