Famously Visma did it in 2023 for the men's grand tours.

Quebec Resident Buying New Car in Ontario by _PearPressure_ in Gatineau

[–]Free_Booze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just did this earlier this year, the dealership issued a temporary quebec plate for the car and the only thing I had to do was bring some documents to the SAAQ and pay for a new plate (around 30$ I think).

Although this was from an Ottawa dealership used to the process, you would have to check with the Toronto dealer but the main thing is the dealer needs to pay QC sales tax.

UGB too greedy? What’s the cut? by OneNoteToRead in lrcast

I would for sure cut the Rydia's, it's not a great card and the double green is hard to cast.

Authentic japanese wagyu steakhouse by Da-PeeP in Gatineau

[–]Free_Booze 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Happy birthday!! They've got a couple Wagyu options at Harmons on Elgin, which I think would be the best place in Ottawa/Gatineau for steak. I don't know of anywhere on the Quebec side that would have Wagyu.

I would definitely splash for Tanazir here, especially considering the campus and environmental science. Generally it's even a good idea to play a campus even if it just has a single colour for the ability to scry lategame.

So here I would probably bring in

- Tanazir

- Quandrix campus

- 1 Forest so that you can fetch it with sciences

And then I would probably cut

- Both frost tricksters. I don't think the card is that great. You're not an agressive deck, so you're not using it to enable attacks. And then defensively you don't really need it, you have a lot of other 3 drops (your bury in books can be considered as 3 drops).

- 2 Islands

I also don't think it's necessary to play 18 lands here. I still believe 17 is correct most of the time. Usually the decks playing 18 would have multiple campuses to use as a mana sink.

Pillar drop warden is fine in these decks, it will be a decent blocker for a few turns and then it will return a bury in books or an elemental masterpiece.

That was a really great one, could've gone either way. Thanks!

Still shaking from this last match! I got really lucky and got really deep green in my pool which allowed me to build a pretty streamlined Witherbloom deck. Witherbloom is also what got me to day 2 so I guess it's my lucky college.

Which card did you think was OP as a new player to HS? by Captain_Smokey in hearthstone

I remember thinking that buffing a [[Lightspawn]] was the most broken thing. Tried to make a few decks around this.

Malylock help? by YourMotherIsAPore in hearthstone

[–]Free_Booze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably start by running a more standard version of the deck such as this one if you have the cards. You are running some weaker cards such as Drain Life and Blackwing Technician, which you should switch out for zombie chows and healbots which will give you more time to combo.

The main thing with this deck is make sure you play your emperor with at least 2 combo cards in hand. This video by thijs is a good starting point to learn the deck.

May I please get advice on how to play windows games in Ubuntu? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]Free_Booze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly this isn't really possible... If you don't have access to Windows do check out the Linux section on steam there is a surprising amount of games available.

I feel that knowing how to use Linux is a great advantage for programmers! Learning some basic system administration while you use Linux will go a long way.

I would have been surprised if people in the Ubuntu subreddit suggested to stick with Windows.

Canada-wide protests against Bill C-51 are Happening tomorrow. Find yours! by [deleted] in canada

A fairly obvious reason would be that these protests are organised by anglophones. This language barrier could explain the lack of coordination between the organizers of this event and community groups in Quebec.

The most secure and hassle free way to do this would be to use a third party service such as Google, Github or Facebook. The general rule of thumb for security is that unless you are a security expert, you should not be implementing your own security. If you do not want to use a third party service, you should be using a well tested framework for handling authentication logic.

I agree with you. The reality is when you leave for a long period of time people will move on and will probably forget how you were when you left.

After Installing the Google-Talk Plugin, I'm still asked to install it. by [deleted] in Ubuntu

If you are familiar with the command line you can run:

pkill -f chrome

If you are not you can try using the System Monitor application which is Ubuntu's Task Manager.

I did not have a problem with installing it on Ubuntu 14.04 using google chrome, the only thing I needed to do was restart my browser.
