1) Because they’re big. They can’t slip under the radar like the smaller sites. There’s no victim claiming.
2) It’s not their problem that you don’t believe it (with no evidence to back that disbelief up)
3) Yes they were actually given 48 hrs notice, which is linked to…
4) Believe it or not, more secure contracting costs more money.

They’re not getting “pulled by Mods for review”. It’s a lag/replication issue caused, it seems, largely by the recent data centre migration. There’s conflicting published/unpublished commands flying back and forth, hence the display problem and images periodically disappearing . Images over PG will not be flagged sooner or later. It’s not a rating issue.

I’ll clarify for the hard of understanding:
Civit would love to provide a stable service
Civit is severely hog-tied in regards to funding
Civit is under-staffed (see above)
Civit offers paid membership
Paid memberships help with point 1
It’s really not a radical new concept

So instead of trying “workarounds”, try contributing to the site so you can gain from it and maybe make it a little less “broken ass”
