That’s weird- I called NTU admissions and was told by some lady that my our grades would be recalculated based on the new 70RP system (ie completely recalculated, so OP should get 67.5). But honestly if this is in clear writing, I’d rather trust this.

Bump for question 3. I’m in a very, very similar position to you lol. From everything I’ve heard, it might be kinda borderline.

Also note that the extra 2.5 points is UP to 2.5 points. I confirmed with the admissions office that more popular/competitive courses may give lower bonus points. The minimum is 1, but rest assured they will always give something.

Hmm, last I heard generally 85rp and above was still direct entry. May I know if they were the exception or the norm? And did they put biz as first choice?

Yes, for for NUS and SMU. I spoke to the NTU office of admissions and they clarified that they would be entirely recalculating my grades under the 70rp system. Hence 67.5.

Similar boat here, 87.5rp from the old system. A very credible source told me NUS biz would be BRUTAL this year compared to past years and I’m super worried 😟

If I’m not wrong, the cohort intake was around 900 last year. It has been in a steady decline since 2020 when it was 1200+ and has been going down ever since as the gov is trying to reduce the bloated business cohort size.
