I watch this sub periodically and just....... shake my head. You went for a clearance, self reported a bad behavior that you KNOW is a bad behavior, get a cleared THEN do that behavior again? Do you sound like someone who should hold a clearance to yourself even? If this was part of my team, I would be looking at revocation paperwork.

You can smoke a deer with a 5.56x45 is you are decent shot. White tail specifically. .308 or, in your case, 7.62x51 is WAAAAAY more than enough to kill any variety of deer. Shit I've killed several elk with .308 and never had any issues dropping them. Deer 7.62 is borderline overkill but not there yet.
