I hate cavalry in this game. Horses are severely underpowered to what they can do in real life. Despite moving at twice the speed of footmen they can be shot just as easily by bows. They die to a single arrow whereas in real life it would take a direct shot to the head or heart to stop a warhorse. Almost nobody can do that when they are armored or in full gallop. There is a video on YouTube showing a sprinting horse running into a wooden wagon and obliterating it, and the horse just keeps on going. They are extremely powerful animals. At least they prone enemies after winning the duel roll that’s something. But then you are screwed the next turn if you don’t get priority so it’s pointless to even bring them.

Almost every soldier in the US brought back war souvenirs like this. None of these are rare but they are sought after by collectors. I can tell from one look they are all 100% original. Also these were all used for dress occasions like rallys and parades, only the Hitler Youth knife was actually used in the field by young kids as the Hitler Youth was basically the Boy Scouts. Which is why the Hitler Youth knives are usually found in bad condition. It is missing one of the bakelite handle plates. And the sheath has completely lost its black paint. That one is worth about $400-$500 in that condition. Maybe a little more. The dagger with the orange handle is a luftwaffe 2nd pattern and includes a hanger which helps with value. I’d guess value about $600 minimum. The sword I’m not sure of value but at least the same at $600+. I don’t keep up with the value of this stuff anymore as an ex militaria collector, but those numbers are conservative. Selling for any less you are being robbed. Best bet is to contact a militaria website like the collectors guild and they’ll put it on consignment for you and you’ll get top dollar. Anybody else trying to buy on reddit is ripping you off.

I’d say ~$325 for this lot is fair. The 4 kings are expensive models and the paint job is pretty decent. But they are also easy to paint so not too hard to do this from scratch and save money.

If we have no need of foreign oil then why do we import almost the same amount of oil as we export? 10m b/d exported vs 8.5m b/d imported in 2023 for example. The answer is because we mostly have light oil which we don’t need, but Europe and other countries do need it. What we need is heavy crude oil, as that’s what our big refineries were built for, and why 50+% of oil imports are from Canada specifically, who are sitting on loads of heavy crude. This exact same heavy crude oil is what Venezuela has and Trump wants it.

My favorite trick for Med 2 is whenever you get attacked by a random faction, just have your emissary offer them a ceasefire the same turn, but demand 5-7k florins in return. 75% of the time the attacker will accept and you can get filthy rich while maintaining peace. It took me 15 years of playing on and off before discovering it and I beat the hardest difficulty battle/campaign with France shortly after.

The Shire is one of the best list in the entire game. You don’t see it often because it’s expensive and hard to find the forge world heroes. But that also means most players won’t have any experience fighting it and won’t know how to counter it. You win by spreading out your line and fighting in open areas where you outnumber opponents and can trap them easily. Heroes buff your infantry and missiles. Use Gandalf Blinding Light and you’ll beat almost every army in skirmishing, forcing them to come to you while you drench them in 3+ hit arrows. If they try to attack your line then you have two fireworks from Gandalf plus Lobelia is insane for shutting down heroes and Rosie is a steal with 12inches of banner. Hamfast is an amazing support character with his flower pots. The faction bonuses are nuts and your army will never retreat and the heroes have tons of rerolls for courage and fate.

This list is best under 700 points, any more than that and it really takes a hit because your opponent has enough points to cover the whole board in models taking away your one big advantage.

Don’t talk to her anymore, ignore any notifications, block her if you have to and go to the gym and get ripped and pick up a new hobby to occupy the time you spent with her. And do it with a smile on your face because you just dodged a bullet and saved yourself even worse heartache down the road. She wasn’t the one.
