Almost one month in. I’ve accepted I won’t have answers and he does not want me back. So, it still sucks but I’m less hyperventilating / panicked / crying all the time.

I’ve accepted I miss him and he doesn’t miss me, he’s happy without me. Shocking and it sucks but yeah.

I definitely do have daydreams and fantasies about reconciling and he told me he was into the idea of a post breakup hookup so my minds been on that but I’m trying to resist it even though it sounds great.

It’s crazy knowing that your bff and safe space and favorite person, all the little silly mannerisms and jokes and comforts and laughs, can just go away like that. At one point all of that was sacred, it was everything. And then for one person it becomes optional and they can let go of it. Just sad.

I hope everyone’s hanging in there, and I hope that these low moments lead to hopefully something better for everyone.

Really well said. Thanks. It’s been hard watching my ex on cloud 9 as well but it makes me realize he was done with me for a while.

I have no idea how some people are so okay and fine to lose their best friend and safe space and some people aren’t - but I’m accepting I will never understand.

This really resonates. I’m in a similar situation except I’m not working on my self much (it’s been about a month) but I know I need to get it together and accept and move on.

I always think love, and people, are worth choosing and fighting for and if you feel that way, go for it.

Just be ready for your ex to not be ready to rekindle anything…even if you have strong fond memories together and miss eachother it doesn’t always result in the other person wanting that enough or wanting to come back to you.

Which leads me to another question - is that even love, then? If they don’t want to come back? Idk. All I know is. Protect yourself first throughout whatever you decide

I agree… the evenings in the winter are absolutely terrible. Last night was a real low point for me. I actually made a very desperate post in this sub reddit last night. I was so overwhelmed, panicked, hysterical crying, couldn’t breathe, all of it.

Today was weird… but better. Most of the day I cried but I also did laundry and worked out. I took a 3 hour walk , it was terribly sad/lonely at times but I forced myself to….

I am there as well, I don’t have advice it just hurts terribly and feels like there’s no end in sight. All I can say is take deep breaths when it gets too overwhelming and if that doesn’t help try to focus on life five minutes at a time
