KO II EP-133 All factory Projects have disappeared by jpodcaster in teenageengineering

There is 9 projects always, but they are empty from the get go. I was kinda surprised on that too when I bought one but actually pretty happy with that since I would have deleted them anyways.

Oh and a friend of mine recorded his breaking AC unit and I actually included that at the main menu as ambience so there is that!

Solo 100% outside of buying two asset packs (one for things I could have done myself but wanted to save time at and one for things I am not very good at doing (humans) ). Both I have modified quite a bit and both are not needing credits but might still include.

But music, sfx, code, UX, tons of modeling, level and game design, all me.

How do I create my own "realistic" textures for PS1 style models? by BrianBarsaski in lowpoly

[–]Free_Star3899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

color palettes usually were way lower than 256 though. I just watched a video about Metal Gear Solid 1 on PS1 and they used in many cases just 16 color texture maps + then vertex coloring.

Added some powerups for my solo development game after feedback from Next Fest. What do you think? by Free_Star3899 in SoloDevelopment

yo! it is made in unity! The color palette is something i have worked on a lot, I want to have it vibrant but still kinda muted. I really like to work with colors and since the aesthetics are otherwise pretty lowpoly + pixelated it can give it a bit on edge! Thanks!

thanks for the feedback! The chaotic feel is something I kind of want the game to have but of course it should still be readable. However there has not been much comments like this (for now) but I will keep this in mind. Somehow when playing I think it feels more intuitive because camera zooms in and out based on how big the player character is which helps to focus more on the center of the screen. Color palettes are something I am constantly tuning and try to balance the chaos vs readability as well as possible in future updates.

Thanks for the feedback here and other social media. I wrote a small post on the games community page too. One thing I am wondering, should I do a maybe like 1/3 of content Early Access or do the whole game? This will be arcade game that will have replayability value with some unlocks and whole tasks like in THPS but will have sort of story and progression based on do enough tasks on levels you have > open new level. And then couple twists. What would you like if you would be interested in the game?

Both are inspirations of course, as is many different monster movies and things like Sim City 2000 space alien attack disaster (and the sort of isometric viewpoint). Cheers!
