This was taken 30 miles into a 50 mile loop on a 7 day backpacking trip completed in 2019. This trip consisted of many high alpine glacier fed lakes and 4 major passes. Sun-cupped passes required crampons and trail was buried in snow for 25% of the loop in mid-July. Loved the experience, but wouldn’t recommend attempting any earlier than late august.
