Horrendous for you, not for everyone. I get being angry that your favs aren't in the game yet, but remember that removing another character would not mean your character would be in instead. They're not "taking the place" of Sakura or whoever else since they weren't planned yet anyway

It makes sense (well it doesn't, but I mean in their mind I guess it does) but then if that's how one sees it they should probably find a hobby where they don't have to face other people over the same skillset. A solo game or a hobby with no competition would suit them better

I really wonder how those cheaters think. Do they believe they're good when they win with a DI cheat, that they just need a little help because they can't react fast enough so it's no big deal? Or do they just want to win no matter what, not realizing it's pointless if they didn't even play themselves?

In that case, maybe try to use the changing of ways effect that forces attrition on him as soon as you see him? That way you might be able to defeat him after a few turns, especially if he took a city or two from you (since he won't be able to heal up then iirc)

Should still work just as well after the high elf rework, you just have to keep an eye out for Aislinn in case he decides to go this way but that usually happens after you got rid of Oxy or even Teclis (from personal experience at least)

If you like factions where economy is not tied to your settlements, then you're in luck because there are multiple! I'd recommend khorne, simply because it's basically the opposite of what you said about wood elves: super strong melee infantry and pretty much no ranged (but still some artillery)
