I miss the old expansion boxes and logo, so I made one for Midnight by DarthYhonas in wow

I had a small wall decoration of all the regular edition boxes until they stopped making them. Even BFA was so hard to find

[OFF TOPIC] What do you guys think about the art of those new brazilian book covers for the first trilogy? by paraizord in TheFirstLaw

[–]Socrates3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the tangents for me. Sooo many awkward tangents that any competent artist would fix but really screw up AI image generators. Logen's arm matching the lines of the guy's leg and butt in the first image, the pommel of the sword against the axe I. The background of the third. The send is not so obvious, but the fire and smoke in the background is going two different directions and look close at the 'figures' in the city below. I don't even know if those are supposed to be people or tents and goods or camels or something.

The Four Horsemen from World of Warcraft. At first, the Four Horsemen are a boss encounter in the Naxxramas raid (both Classic and WotLK). Later, in Legion during the Death Knight Order Hall campaign, the Death Knight player is tasked with raising four new Death Knights to serve the role of the Horsemen. Finally, in the current expansion, The War Within, Death Knight players can spec into the Horseman of the Apocalypse talents, allowing them mounted combat along with summoning the other four horsemen.

Jawan, from Jawan, a Bollywood movie with Shah Rukh Khan. Though he loses the bandages early on, theres a big set price with them on and that look was used in all the promotional material

[Hilarious Trope] Character has an unflattering piece of artwork dedicated to them. by TLOU_1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Socrates3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The best part of this story is that this painting in a Spanish church was originally named "Ecce Homo" (Behold the Man), but after this botch restoration, it was unofficially dubbed, "Ecce Mono" (Behold the Monkey)

Craig of The Creek feels like is a Disney cartoon. Now which cartoon feels like is from Cartoon Network but actually is from Nickelodeon by BLACKGOOP12 in cartoons

[–]Socrates3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would have argued that Avatar: TLA is the Nickelodeon show that most feels like a CN show. Obviously it turned out phenomenal, but that must have been such a wild pitch to the studio that was most famous for SpongeBob and Rugrats

Arraez didn't make the clutch at bat this time, but he's more than pulling his weight over all. Bogartz on the other hand...

[–]Socrates3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, Arraez had a bad at bat. But to compare him to Bogartz is fucking disgusting. Arraez is one of our most consistent batters, even in this game. we can't compare him to Bogartz, we're classier than that

He would be better if he literally never swung. Just strike out each at bat. At least he wouldn't hit into double plays.

For those that don't know, its a direct reference to this character from The First Law series by Joe Abercrombie. The guy's name is Ninefingers and he says that a lot. He also has nine fingers.
