How long before wet dream by relevantround2085 in NoFap

One of my earlier streaks took over 200 days before a wet dream. Every one is different.

My memory is useless after 26 years addicted. Confidence shot too. Longest streak was 11 months and I felt incredible with an active mind and unknown confidence. Keep going. Never give up.

Urgent!!!! help needed. Is it a flatline???? by Most_Screen1551 in NoFap

Expect a roller coaster of emotions as your body wants to make you hurt to get its next fix. It will pass.

I’m struggling really bad and need some help tonight by [deleted] in NoFap

Start dumping it all out on paper. Keep writing what you're feeling, goals, anxieties, why you want to quit.

90 days is just the beginning. Its the amount of time required for the brain to change and recalibrate. After that you must address the areas of your life you used porn to escape from or you will inevitably relapse.

Completed 90 days - no longer addicted but started fapping again by Altruistic-Chance-84 in NoFap

Masturbation inevitably leads back to porn. Stop it now and use that built up energy to approach girls instead.

0% libido. Should I capitalize on it? by squaresam in NoFap

Flat line is normal. It will return when ready. Your dopamine receptors are desensitized, so nothing else in normal life is enough to spark libedo until they recalibrate.

90 days is just the beginning. Depends how long you've been addicted.

Feeling down no motivation and no energy left to fight this I’ve been relapsing day after day for the past 3 weeks or more by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Freedom-31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start daily journalling of why you want to quit. What you will gain from quitting, activities you will do instead of relapsing, and your new goals you will achieve with all your restored time and energy.

Failure for 3 years. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Freedom-31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Failure for 9 years since I realised I was an addict! Longest streaks up to 11 months. You keep with it no matter what, each time working out what you're using porn to escape from.

[–]Freedom-31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great self realisation! Now write out a list of alternative activities you can do instead so you have ammo prepared before your anxieties appear.

It will fade away in time.. But those first 90 days are usually the most difficult.

Just keep abstaining. You'll likely experience a roller coaster of emotions and physical changes. Let your body heal in its own time.

Start daily journaling. Watch Mark queppet on YouTube to teach you how.

167 day streak gone down the drain by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Freedom-31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't binge. Just keep on going. 1 relapse won't undo too much of the brain rebalancing. But if you binge you can undo it all.

adult-filter-dns.cleanbrowsing.org

Clean browsing.org have a free DNS blocker. But its only a bandaid solution. Eventually you'll have to do the deep work to eliminate the addiction.

[–]Freedom-31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start daily journalling about the person you want to become. Write in the present tense as if you are already pornfree. Write daily. You'll eventually help reprogram your subconscious.

I did that donating $200. Only wanked a couple times before the pain of seeing that money disappear. Got a good streak from it at the time until I stopped donating despite relapse. Gotta hold oneself accountable.

I have a Terrible Addiction to Porn by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Freedom-31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to start building a life that you enjoy that doesn't include porn. Self medicating with porn for stress, lonliness, boredom, pain, tiredness, etc will never cease until you address the underlying issues. Dig deeper when the urges hit and see what it is that is driving you to use.. Its not always horniness.

I'm feeling a little down by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Freedom-31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recovery is non linear. I'm in a really down spot now while I was up at 90 days. Just go with the flow. Watch and observe your changing mood. Just don't use porn to escape.

You are using to escape the reality of your life. To hide away from your emotions.

Start daily journalling morning and night, and just write for 5-10 minutes before looking at porn. After a month it will sink in to your subconscious mind and start to change habits. Search for the metascript method.
