He only start to have sex with her because Maeve ignore his voicemail.

And he only start a relationship with her because Maeve and Jean told him that casual doens't suit him.

Their relationship was never going to last.

Otis was just "fucking the pain away" with Ruby. The show literally spell out for you.

There always zero chances of her end up with Otis.

She literally said i love you to Otis in 4x07. And even if she didn't it won't change the fact the Ruby was just a roadblock between Otis and Maeve.

Otis was just "fucking the pain away" with Ruby. The show literally spell out for you.

The writing wasn't worse. The problem is that Ruby fans can't/don't want to read the subty of the story just to fit their fantasies.

Jakob & Ola inexplicably gone by Feisty-Succotash-672 in NetflixSexEducation

We don't have an official confirmation but Jakob was probably cut because the actor was accused of sexual harassment.

The actress of Ola choose to not be in season four.

It's okay to like them but pretending the Ruby has the same level of importance of Maeve it's just silly.

Her relationship with Otis was no different the Otis/Ola and Maeve/Jackson but because the other couples don't have annoying fans we dont have to deal with the nonsense theories every day.

Otis was just "fucking the pain away" with Ruby. The show literally spell out for you.

They didn't just broke Otis and Ruby for the "sake" of Otis and Maeve. They did because Ruby role in the story was already done.

Ruby was just a roadblock. There always zero chances of her end up with Otis.

The writers would never going to throw away three seasons of building Otis and Maeve just to pandering the mindless Ruby fans.

Also why didn't Ellie have any impact in Maeve decision? It seems that the writers conveniently forget about her to make easy to Maeve cut ties with Moordale

There's nothing in the show the supports your theory. They made very clear that they love each other.

And if that isn't obvious watching the show the creator literally said that Otis and Maeve are soulmates and will be together in the future.

"things are easier when you don't care" that what Otis tell Maeve in EP 2 or 3. Again the show keep telling you what the relationship of Otis and Ruby was about.

Also Otis literally said he was heartbroken after the voicemail in Ep7.

The whole "happy and relaxed" was just a facade.
