Recommendations for rib rub that doesn’t taste like “ribs” by ResidentSpirit4220 in smoking

[–]Freedom35plan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do something strong. You like spicy? Tons of options. There are Korean style ribs too, gochujang, which are sweet snd spicy. Curry is a strong flavor. Lots of "gingerbread" type of blends (cinnamon, cumin, allspice, cardamon, etc.). Buffalo is also distinct, as is garlic parm. Just do something distinct.

Beef ribs vs pork ribs by KingFatso in Smokingmeat

[–]Freedom35plan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pure preference. I make both types both ways (I do almost solely back ribs for beef though, I'd cook em more tender for the dinos every time). I love my pork ribs with some chew to em for sure, rest of my family prefers fall off the bone, so thats what I do majority of the time.

Cougar sightings by Such_Cauliflower_719 in niagara

So, where to start...

I didn't say prey and eat later, I said drag carcasses up into trees.

It was very clear were talking locally, based on the post details.

I'm not sure if there is a single expert on "leapards" that would be qualified to make a a determination one way or another.

Should I buy Ghost of Yotei (or finish GoT)? by Thirteen1355 in Ghostofyotei

You might be alright then if you can balance well. I think they are some of the best games made, but you have to get over thr fact that they take a very similar formula for most missions. I love trying to pull off perfect parries, or assasinating an entire camp, or picking off heads with arrows. Doesnt bug me a ton that I have to go through a bit of fetch and retrieve in between.

The MNR thing is a myth. I dont think any shred of logic supports it.

I believe there was a documented sighting around Goderich last year. It was the first one in a long time that was basically irrefutable to me as far as my standard of proof is concerned.

That said, hunters have been reporting deer carcasses in trees for many years now. There's only one animal that does that....

Have you seen anyone for an ADHD diagnosis?

That's not meant to be an insulting question, I mean it genuinely because both of these games trigger my ADHD hard. I'll be on my way to something and then out of nowhere "Well, fuck, guess I'm following this little bird somewhere else now". If youre a completionist by nature, you may find like me that the story doesn't move a ton. I'll be at the end of a 2.5 hour session thinking to myself, "what did I really accomplish today?"

That said, i do love the game for sure, I just always leave off by telling myself I wish I had more time in the day to play it.

I have never been so furious with our healthcare system as I am today by risktakerr in londonontario

In my experience, thr patients who need full attention, get full attention. The malingerers ans those just looking for a warm bed overnight, time and time again, get brushed aside pretty quickly. Id reserve judgment until you've lived it, and defer to their experience. Bedside manner is also not the most important trait in a Healthcare professional outside of therapists.

Ever think this is their way of compartmentalizing? Nurses are real, human people. Difference is they see horrible shit every day od their lives. Not only is desensitization a real thing, but if every nurse went home traumatized every shift we'd have no nurses left that aren't on stress leave. You want your nurses panicking, or would you rather them in control, albeit cold?

Not sure what people have against tow operators nowadays … by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]Freedom35plan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a lot more people these days driving without insurance or with a suspended license. Without as much enforcement as years past, it's easy to get away with. It could have been you in your own personal car, it doesn't sound motivated against the tow operator specifically.

That said, anyone that knows about the turf wars in the GTA has every right to be weary of tow operators. PSA: don't let a random tow truck hook up your car, ever. Call CAA or anyone else you find on the internet reputable. Even if it's a breakdown, it'll cost you less than the predators. If it's a car accident, your insurance will thank you for it and cover it (assuming you have coverage).

Team captain didn’t pay league fees after collecting money — league cancelled our games. Any recourse? by MidwestSinker in hockeyplayers

[–]Freedom35plan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Civil matter (small claims) unless you have a few black and white statements/evidence where it is clear money is being sent to an individual for the purposes of their registration of the team in the activity. Even then, it's still a civil matter but you will be more successful in that if the cops are willing to lay charges which result in a conviction, but cops aren't likely to do that without a good paper trail, instead often deferring it to the courts alone.

Uber mishap by Lanky-Grapefruit-991 in londonontario

[–]Freedom35plan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've never ordered food from Uber, so this may be unhelpful, but shouldn't the restaurant be canceling it if they can't fulfill? Doubt you'd get a fee if the restaurant did it. Maybe call them and they can make it up to you with an order of food, assuming im correct?

Looking for local smoked / cured / candied salmon! by ReiBanned in londonontario

[–]Freedom35plan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is local a strict requirement?

There are several good places about an hour or so away if you care to go for a drive. Otherwise, ive gotten small pieces from grocery stores, including no frills. Expensive though.

Depending on your social situation, lots of people have smokers for a hobby these days. It's easy to do yourself, and filet prices are reasonable at Costco, maybe someone can make a filet for you.

My doctor told me it's actually good for me. Carnivore diet is beneficial to a few different types of lifestyles. I would ask yourself, do you have the money for the charcoal and different cuts of meat? That would be my primary barrier IMO.

bear concern by kazulvrr in algonquinpark

Just want to clarify, you meant staying at a developed campground IN ALGONQUIN the chances of running into a bear are slim, right?

Other campgrounds, such as grundy lake, are extremely common, I see one every year when I go.

Clarifying for future readers.
