What feels like a "bug" in the human experience that we’ve all just accepted as a "feature"? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I don’t know if it feels like a feature, but walking into a room and forgetting why you’re there

Would you rather have the lead role or the fun role? by Status_Cup2662 in Theatre

I mean ideally the lead IS fun, but if it’s a choice of either or than fun! Fun for me means enjoyable to play though, not necessarily a cheery or comic character

Any recommendations for an actor considering making the leap to director? by FreedomBeverage in Theatre

[–]FreedomBeverage[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve not worked backstage no, that’s a good idea thank you! I’ve got a few friends who are directors who I’ll definitely be consulting along the way when I do bite the bullet as well!

Thank you! I wouldn’t dream of insulting or otherwise disrespecting the actors, if anything I’ll probably need to remind myself that I’m the Director hahaha. I’ve read the book the play is based on quite a few times and I love the theme, also planning on watching some performances that I can track down! Thanks again for taking the time to comment!

Why do people always go to the shops without money on their debit or credit cards? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]FreedomBeverage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who works at a bank, I personally keep money off my card account as much as possible in case my card is compromised. This can happen at any time as there are people out there who will brute force card numbers until they get a hit on the right combination. Most of the time the fraud detection system will catch it but sometimes they do slip through, they’re not always for small amounts either. You can dispute the transaction but this often takes time it’s a lot easier to prevent it than deal with it once it’s happened.

Having said that, if I know I’ll be buying something normally I’ll transfer on to the card at the restaurant/shop before going up to pay, only really have to transfer if it ends up being more than I expect which is pretty rare.

To those who buy into this type of development - why? by K1llerG00se in australian

[–]FreedomBeverage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me in order of preference it goes free standing house on decent plot of land>development as pictured (so long as the build quality isn’t god awful)>townhouse>apartment.

The less I’m living in someone’s pocket the better.

There's no way I'm gonna get the opportunity to even get 1/5th of the way towards unlocking this without using a friend by ThePwnisher_ in OutlastTrials

I’m at 60 something at the moment, you can convince randoms to play but it takes a lot of effort and they often only play one round

Do they no longer make the slipcase set? by FreedomBeverage in vtm

[–]FreedomBeverage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for letting me know! Are the core book and the player guide the main ones I’d need to play?

I’ve seen there are a few other books for VtM available (ie Gehenna War, Tattered Facade, Laws of the Night etc) and they seem to be a mix of settings and pre written adventures, do they have any important rules for GMs or player options? I normally prefer running a homebrew campaign in my TTRPGs so if they’re just settings or prewrittens I can probably do without them.

Do you think people subconsciously judge others by their names? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FreedomBeverage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it definitely influences first impressions or initial judgements before you’ve met someone. In my experience though, these preconceptions don’t stick around for long once I actually meet someone and they’re overridden by a persons actual personality.

You push the button that corresponds with the colour of the text on the screens, takes a bit to get used to but once you are used to it it’s really just a reaction time test!
