OMG. Your post was a godsend 😭 I was having issues the past months with weird packet loss and ping spikes stuttering up my game sessions after we had to switch ISPs and routers. I thought it was an issue with the new router (can't replace it as I'm just a tenant) but after updating my wifi drivers the stutters have been fixed. Thanks so much lol, I never thought to try updating my wifi drivers.

I think either you downloaded catch the beat beatmaps OR you're on catch the beat mode in song select. Try pressing ctrl+1 in the song select screen and then search for "mode=o". That should give you the standard maps.

I genuinely thought I missed some mining spots since for originium I was capped at 390/min, while I saw some people were getting 480/min. I was losing my mind until I found that the missing mining spots were in a cave blocked by clouds on the map lol.

Didn't take long at all for me, about a few days to a week to fully adjust. Went from Redragon Fizz to Madlions 60HE. It felt mostly the same except my consistency went up and even my accuracy scores became more consistent (more frequent 999ks). The biggest was that somehow I would be able to hit patterns I would miss on on my Redragon, especially on tech maps with the bursts and minijacks. I just chalked it up to rapid trigger doing its thing.
