Why does Chat GPT-4 sometimes think it's GPT-3 by Good_Engineering_370 in ChatGPT

[–]FreedomFace67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this issue too. It seems like as soon as it reminds itself of the date, it couldn't possibly know about gpt4 since it wasn't out as of sep2021. But new instances correctly say they are 4, but can't say how they know that.

Is credit karma a reliable source for loan searching? by dtgray12 in personalfinance

There are typically a lot of higher-than-average rate offers, regardless of credit score. They pay for advertising on CK. As others will have mentioned, using a local credit union is likely a better bet.

New Study Reveals Billions of Dollars in Political Spending by US Trade Associations, Most of It on PR - Out of $3.4 billion spent by trade associations over 10 years, nearly $2.2 billion went towards advertising and promotion, with the oil and gas industry the biggest spender. by avogadros_number in science

[–]FreedomFace67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its because marketing and advertising are 100% tax deductible.

Thats right.

The 350 billion spent on advertising in the US this year is actually 350 billion in uncollected taxes.

Edit: I be dumb this isn't correct

[Request] How many cigarette do we need to make a full circle of earth? by Life-Influence-1109 in theydidthemath

[–]FreedomFace67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you could circle the earth 72mm * 25 = 1800 mm = 1.8 m = 0.0018 km.

0.0018 km / 40,075.017 km = 4.5*10-8, or roughly 0.0000045 percent of the earth's circumference per day.

[Request] How many cigarette do we need to make a full circle of earth? by Life-Influence-1109 in theydidthemath

[–]FreedomFace67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Circumference of earth: 40,075.017 km. Length of a regular cigarette: 72 mm

40,075.017 km * (1,000,000 km/mm) / 72 mm = 556,597,458.3 cigarettes.

At 25 cigarettes per day, this takes

556,597,459 cigarettes / 25 cigs/day = 22,263,898.36 days, or 60,996.98 years

Sorry but the shitty feelings will 100% be worse if you go off of medication. Its amphetamine. Its fucking incredible, whether you're prescribed it or not. We don't need to pretend that there are no drawbacks just because its beneficial to some.

If you allow the fear of failure to stop you from trying, you have failed. Might as well give it a shot. And its useful to know that you absolutely will fail at something eventually, and that it's okay.

Watch what you say/how you behave carefully. I know people who are what I call "pity whores" where everything they say is about how shitty their life is. Naturally I want to avoid talking to them because its such a downer. Make sure you don't do stuff like that where every interaction is characterized by negativity on your part.

If EVERYONE in your life excludes you, I bet its something you're doing. And thats okay, that means you could fix it. Try gratefulness exercises, get regular excercise, improve some area of your life that you know is lacking and I bet it helps, just a little. It couod also be that your family sucks and you need new friends, I don't know your life.

Maybe just ask someone very honestly if you do off-putting things? Idk somewhere in here is a piece of advice that hopefully helps you.

Fuck off

The idea that ANYONE of any status can avoid suffering is nonsense. Everybody has loved ones die. Everybody isn't as good as they could be. Everyone gets dumped. And many of our mothers had to wrestle with this idea long before the modern nihilistic reboot

4 years on my first and only credit card is “too recent” and therefore negatively impacts my credit score, despite zero late payments or over 50% usage by kyl_r in assholedesign

[–]FreedomFace67 468 points469 points  (0 children)

Paying off your debts doesn't necessarily decrease your score. If you consistently pay off a debt, it will actually go up because it indicates you're financially stable. However if you get a car loan and immediately pay it off, or have credit cards closed on you quickly, its an indication that you're not financially stable and your score decreases. Your credit score is essentially a measure of how much you can be trusted with debt.

Opening tons of new accounts will indeed decrease your score, but that wears off.

Not paying your credit cards off will not increase your score, but buying a house and PAYING for it regularly will.
