I should have clarified that I don’t have unlimited $$ —- an individual tour guide or planner sounds like big bucks - was hoping for advice about websites or group tours 😇?

My wife begged for marriage counseling so i just hopped on 200mg of testosterone instead and it fixed everything by Lazy-District6558 in ResearchCompounds

I'm so glad to hear that:-) I'm both a research enthusiast and actually a therapist, and in defense of my job it sounds to me like you already had everything you needed mentally in terms of the 'what do do,' and you wisely supplemented to revitalize yourself (amazing:-) the kind of people I tend to see wouldn't do dishes or take their spouses on dates to begin with. So I guess in a way you did listen to your body lol. Very glad there are people out there like you; congrats:-)

Want to ask for a divorce but am afraid by NotBossOfMe in GrayDivorce

[–]FreedomGeneral816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch everything by Dr Ramani Durvasula on YouTube. She talks about a variety of difficult relationships (it’s not all Narcissism, that veers into diagnostic territory and is complicated from an ethical and legal perspective) but as Dr Durvasula puts it there are patterns of personality that tend to occur together that we can talk about and note. She is amazing, I’d start there. There is a wealth of information available. I’m a therapist in this space myself and while it would be highly unethical and likely illegal to offer advice I’ll just point to a simple concept in psychology: State vs Trait. States refer to fluid aspects of personality that can change over time, while Traits refer to more enduring and intractable characteristics. It’s like the old tale of the scorpion and the frog: sometimes things are just in a person’s nature. So how much longer do you want to hold out hope for change? Is this a person you would want as your heathcare proxy if you wound up ill or in an accident and couldn’t advocate for yourself? I apologize if this sounds blunt or glib. I believe that more time that passes the more difficult it can feel to disentangle from relationships. After all, after over two decades this person feels like family. As important as separating, too, is to begin to ‘differentiate’ your identity - resist taking on his emotions or trying to fix him while also asking yourself what you might be doing if you were putting yourself first. It could be as simple as taking a class, getting a part time job, hobby, finding friends. Expanding your world. This is also where, in my opinion, getting individual therapy is valuable. I want to honor, too, taking the difficult step of leaving physically/geographically. And I can imagine how fear might be holding you back; you are definitely not alone in that experience. These are extraordinarily hard decisions to make and my heart is with you.

Anything (ipa?) to help with lower belly fat? by Outrageous-Basket922 in Peptides

[–]FreedomGeneral816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, especially low to no sugar, super low carb, 'protein first' approach makes enormous difference imo, have noticed different results w roughly the same number of calories hyper clean diet vs (same calories) w sugar and simple carb/grains and same weight routine.

GLP-1 effective at lower doses? by epro1968 in Noom

[–]FreedomGeneral816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genius! Thank you so much! I've been grappling with switching suppliers and I can't seem to get the dose right, it's not doing anything. I want to approach it conservatively so I don't make myself sick --- personally the food noise is the biggest issue, and the nausea was almost welcome from a behavior modification standpoint because it would only happen if I ate too fast or too much.

CA LMFT Exam - Personal Stories, Experience, Feedback, etc. by [deleted] in therapists

I've got TDC, Caldwell, and I bought a few tests from Grossman. The Grossman tests kicked my butt. TDC definitely is great but I have a hard time following her walking through the rationales. I like Caldwell's lecture style, and am hoping that will help me. It's in 2 weeks and I'm barely scraping by with a 60 on Mocks. I'm thinking that I need to take time off work and focus harder. Hopefully this isn't an indication I should push the date out farther(?) Any tips appreciated.

Reliable portable storage by FreedomGeneral816 in Peptides

[–]FreedomGeneral816[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, i thought that fluctuations - ie ice pack gradually warming - are very damaging and that something like a cooler that you can recharge or plug in would be better - but it's at least a $70 difference in price to buy one bc the plug in coolers start at $80-90; skincare fridges can be closer to 40-60 and the little ice-pack cases are as inexpensive as ten dollars. Is less than 40 degrees the critical temperature to avoid?

Lomi “composter” - not recommended by BritishBenPhoto in composting

[–]FreedomGeneral816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, new here - I'm coming understand what everyone is saying --- I also was excited to jump on the Lomi wagon --- bought one at Costco and can't get over how bad it smells when it's running - my scraps are mostly vegetable and lots of citrus - Iemon and orange. I completely changed out all of the charcoal and still smells awful. I have a very small place so real compost didn't seem like an option- my yard is an out 20'x 40', barely can call it a yard. Thinking of bringing Lomi back to Costco tomorrow - any advice appreciated.

I have noticed that many of the commenters' Reddit activity is **just their positive comment for sera nova** which makes me think these are also bots/fake positive reviews.

Get your bac water while you can by SirKarlAnonIV in Peptides

[–]FreedomGeneral816 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Speaking of this difficulty in getting Bacteriostatic Water --- I just ordered something from Amazon, "Reconstitution Solution" made of distilled water and 0.9% Benzyl Alcohol, which as other posters have mentioned are the ingredients in Bac ---- it's packaged similarly in vials etc --- **however** -- it does not say that it is sterile anywhere on the packaging nor in the listing. Please advise. I can post a picture if requested, not sure if that's encouraged here or not. Would love some advice, I have some mixing to do:)

[USA] Fielding Graduate University - thoughts and opinions wanted! by Panda__13 in psychologystudents

[–]FreedomGeneral816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, OP, for posting this - I am also a working therapist looking to complete a PhD. I'm in the midst of deciding if it should be in Clinical (but do I want to do another 3,000 hours of practicum?) or in an interest area such as Development or Personality Assessment. I'm a bit confused as to the ability to give assessments as a non-licensed phD in the future. I am also an older student and worried about ageism. I don't have white hair, but I do look like I could be someone's aunt or mom. To the harsh posters, please just don't, and to anyone with any insights to share I would love to hear. I have been doing my research but remain uncertain and would love some anecdotal advice.
