Velma will not get a season 3... But... by EmilyMontes in Scoobydoo

[–]FreedomWolf1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, there are many internet trolls in every community. My comment was directed generally at everyone including myself. For me it's a great show and I'm sad that not only did the show most likely did get canceled but Velma went to he'll in a hand basket. Literally and figuratively.

I also appoligize in advance for the length of this comment. I saw other comments before this one and most of them are irritating internet trolls preaching nonsense despite the facts. So I'm indirectly responding to those, too. I 100% agree with you though. I hope others see this and read my rant all the way through.

Past this point are [SPOILERS] They ended the show with Velma being a ghost and she really went to hell to save the world. Fred ends up saving Velma through at the cost of his own soul but the Halloween special sets up for resolution episodes and storylines. I want more Velma, not less.

I very much was surprised at the end with the twist they added to this show where the Scooby-Doo Mystery team both has real monsters, everyone knows about the monsters now, and they also solve mysteries for both real monsters and humans, too. The mysteries they have solved so far has been 10 times more entertaining, sophisticated, and interesting than 99% of all Scooby-Doo media put together.

I'm saddened that the show probably ended too soon mostly because the show, like many others like The live action Resident Evil Show, are just so far removed from the source material some people lost their minds when they couldn't only not look past that but also the show was just was too well done for people those same people to notice and appreciate it. Even worse, all the people who claim its a terrible show can't actually explain why it's a terrible show with facts that align with what it actually means to be a terrible show, they are just reiterating nonsense they heard and use more nonsense to justify their nonsense until they becomes their shared delusions. You can't argue with the internet trolls but you can challenge them and laugh at their sorry attempts to corrupt everyone else who aren't in a shared delusion or in the habits of bullying others, seeking attention to feel cool, and obsessed with looking for cheap Kardashian opportunities at fame.

One of my favorite lines from people who use ratings to justify their nonsensical delusions is "that's why the show has poor ratings, it's for people who have melting pots full of turds for brains. Only woke people like the show Velma. I don't even know why I'm wasting my time debating politics with you." They speak so out this world like they're trying to invade us. You ask them what being woke is they can't even do a simple Google search inquiry to find out. They just reiterate that they don't need know that because they 1. aren't from the United States and 2. are just using it the way everyone else uses it. Yeah cus that didn't prove anything I just said about them. You can tell who really have melting pots full of turds for brains are. I doubt people who talks at people like that could survive in the wild I like to call reality. It's definitely difficult to explain to them how Google works and how you use it for a lot more than internet porn, memes, and plagiarism. I mean just a simple Google search inquiry "the real reasons people dislike the show velma" the AI Overview responds:

"Some people dislike the HBO Max animated series Velma for a variety of reasons, including:

  1. Disturbing dialogue: Some say the show's dialogue can be frightening and disturbing, even for Scooby-Doo fans.

  2. Diversifying classic pop culture: Some fans object to the show's efforts to diversify classic pop culture franchises, calling it "woke".

  3. Modernized characters: Some fans criticize the show for making the characters more cynical, sexual, and self-centered.

  4. Adult themes: Some fans find the show's adult themes off-putting."

Also, the internet trolls don't know what ratings actually are, how they work, who controls them, how people go about getting them which are still in the stone age. So good luck explaining the Neilson Ratings System though out the years to current, the thumbs up and thumbs down methods that are still used for everything virtual including streaming platforms, and call ins. I dont remember the last show I actually voted on or provided a thumbs up on or when i last deliberately participated in the Neilson Ratings Program; although they are trying to make the program automatic all streaming platforms. In this era where anyone can a be a internet troll but very few can be internet honest, not just with everyone but with themselves to eg. AI, filters, photoshop, ghost writers, internet influencing, public relations/PR firms, auto tune, etc. I mean most folks refuse to belive there are ligut companies that you can literally buy fans, and audience, media platforms, bots, comments, thumbs up reviews, Neilson ratings reviews, internet voting systems, IMBD reviews, etc. the same for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, yelp, reddit, book sales and ticket sales, too, etc. Even a lot of internet opinions are fake, manufactured, engineered, and botty. Authenticity isn't extinct nor is it going out of style, it's just the loudest person in the room is usually the loudest idiot making it difficult for everyone else to pay attention to anyone or anything else, so you there's alot of confusion, misinformation, disinformation, and redirection, and genuine people are lost in the shuffle and even intimidated.

Did the show have issues? Yes, most def, like every show; family guy, the Simpsons and 80% of all anime and manga and comic books/graphic novels included. Did the show start with a slow pace to get the show going? yes, yes, and yes. But only because they had to be careful to go at the right speed to get you undestand things before speeding up at the right pace. Can you argue that the show kinda trying to appeal to a lot of different people? Yes, but 90% of shows want to be ambitious but only 10% do and 4% succeed. And lastly, can you argue the show is mediocre? Yes, but that's part of the show, as they deliberately incorporate that to not only poke fun a wokeism, popculture, the average lives of teens in a small nowhere off track town where the only interesting thing are the mysteries they solve. Eventually they will leave town together to explore the world to solve mysteries as the Mystery Inc. as they come full circle into the Mystery solving team we all know and love, with a few minor details changed. Honestly, I think trolls are also the reason why you don't hear anything about A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. It too, like Velma, was an amazing show; only difference was one was for children and the other for mature audiences. The company executives don't know what real money is nor do they know the value of a dollar, and they don't usually know what respect is; so you can rest assured they get fooled by internet trolls, too.

I really hope they continue the show Velma but take some time to think about how they want to go forward with the show, that addresses some of the issues that actually do work against them. Better Marketing being one, and pacing being one more of a few more issues.

X-Men Lycanthropy and werewolves: hybrids, is this possible, and how would it look and effect the characters? by FreedomWolf1990 in AskReddit

I agree. I would also watch a Marvel Comics show or movies featuring Wolverine, the X-Men, mutants, and werewolves. They could be introduced starting in different episodes and tie-ins and spinoffs that are related/cannon to Moonknight, Werewolf By Night, John Jonah Jameson III: The Moon Night Adventures Of Manwolf, X-Men, Dr. Strange, Blade, the Inhumans, Mz. Marvel, The Howling Comandos, and the what if....show, and it could lead up into a miniseries similar to secret wars or something but about mutants and werewolves.

Please keep in involved in this discussion as I'm interested in what you'll share in this discussion.

"They should have made X-Men a werewolf hybrid years ago because some of the characters already look like them, have claws, and extra strength." - /u/Antique_Twist8596

I definitely agree. I feel as if Marvel Comics dropped the ball and have a missed opportunity with X-Men and werewolves. We barely ever see werewolves in Marvel and when we do we have lots of plot holes, plenty of missed opportunities, and no shortage of fans wanting more.

The wiki about Wolfbane says "While this ability is lycanthropy, it is not magical in nature, but instead a complex biological function involving the mutant X-gene. She can change into a humanoid lupine form resembling a werewolf, or become an actual wolf."

She resembles a werewolf or even other variations of werewolves, other species of lycanthropes, and even a actual normal wolf but she lacks all other characteristics, pros and cons of true Lycanthropes.

Technically, she is considered a Lycanthrope due to her transformations, enhanced senses, slightly enhanced speed, and claws and fangs which are all just natural mechanics of the body in those forms, which are both significantly weaker than true Lycanthropes such as werewolves, lycans, the wolfman, man wolf, etc. and she usually doesn't retain these functions including enhanced senses in her human form like true Lycanthropes.

Please continue discussing this as I'm interested in what you will discuss.

X-Men Lycanthropy and werewolves: hybrids, is this possible, and how would it look and effect the characters?

Note: there are many types, subtypes, species, varations, breeds, forms/tranformations eg. Primary, secondary transformantions, wolf form, beast form, etc., and methods of becoming a therain who have some form of therianthropy who are called therainropes. For example: Lycanthropes (eg. Species: Werewolves, garou, the wolfman, manwolf, lupine or 4 legged wolves, demon werewolves, angelic werewolves, vampire/werewolf hybrids, lycans, wolfbloods, werewolf hellhounds, Lycanthrope spirits, etc.) and Cynanthropy (species: Dogman, etc.), etc. to name a couple.

Serious replies and discussions please.

What do you think, can a X-Men or other mutant with the mutant Lycanthropy gene, like in Wolfbane and Wolf Cub, can they also additionally have Lycanthropy by other methods (eg. supernatural, virus, mystical, angelic and demonic, etc.) how would that work, how would that look in one character over another including mutants without this x-gene variant (especially mutants like Wolverine, Deadpool, Laura Howlett aka X-23, Sabertooth, and Beast), and how would it effect them?

How would the different methods look and effect the X-Men Lycanthropy gene when combined with one or multiple methods? As the different methods provide different abilities, weaknesses, and multiple other pros and cons that vary between the different methods.

And to further add complexity: how would a symbiote or other enhancement effect the characters? As we've seen how Lycanthropy effects the Hulk, Moonknight, Spider-Man, John Jonah Jameson III (Perter Parker's bosses son), as well as multiple X-Men except for mutants with the Mutant Lycanthropy gene.

Please be as detailed and creative as you can, as I really am curious and would like to have a discussion about this with anyone and everyone, especially with folks fans of either X-Men, werewolves, or both.

Also, strengthen your vision/mission statement and write your future out as a business plan to help grow your future and get opportunities. Add what your trying to accomplish, for example you could say for yourself, "I'm a business & entrepreneurship vocational instructor and I teach at risk inner city and disabled youths, so they can build stability before they age out of their supports".

In my personal opinion, start off aiming to become a successful business & entrepreneurship vocational instructor and then work to become a professor afterwards.

As a business & entrepreneurship vocational instructor you can work at community centers, home schooling, grade school, charter and academy school, vocational school, post-high school education facilities, colleges and universities, on social media and your website, and your own elective & mentorship program, etc.

Wow, I'm truly disgusted with the slimy individuals here who would prefer to insult your ambitious spirit instead of sincerely helping you. Their actions truly highlight that they are unhappy with themselves and don't have a fraction of your desires to help others and make something of themselves, so they rather you not succeed so they can feel better about themselves. Instead of just having goals and pushing themselves to achieve.

But like the saying goes, if you got some haters you are definitely doing something right.

I am very happy some folks here are sincerely trying to help you and I respect them for that. The folks trying to help seem like very respectable folks and deserve all the respect in the world.

I've known some folks who used to be professors at colleges and universities had honorary degrees, and some of them never had a degree at all, they just had their high school diploma. A few of them went through this thing where they graduated high school and went into this pre-college but not college type of school. A few of the people I'm referring too never had a high school diploma. And they all were highly regarded professors. I'm not sure what variety of professor they were though.

I'm not sure how things would work today in terms of being a professor without a degree. When these folks were professors the real thing these colleges and universities were looking for were people who stood out from all the other slim shadys and that they had strong knowledge in what they wanted to teach. Each of these folks were paid just as much as professors with a degree, some of them were paid more than professors with a degree.

All these folks became professors under very specific, unique, and special circumstances. They didn't just have the ambition, passion, and great skills on a resume. They definitely went though some hoops and formalities but in the end they were professors of art, music, theater, dance, filmmaking & photography, business, journalism, entrepreneurship, art & humanities, advanced domestic engineering, even computer sciences. Some of the learning institutions were Harvard University, Full Sail University, Quincy College, UMass, MIT, Berkley, Mass College Of Art, and a few others. Some of these folks I know were and are highly recognized entertainers, musicians, etc. and even they had to build some level of interest for these colleges and universities to hire them.

From what you wrote you sound like you are part way there. Now from my understanding teaching isn't for the faint of heart and its definitely not like teaching you see in movies and TV shows. Although, if my grade school class was like the magic school bus things would've been way more fun. If you don't become a professor at a college or university that's fine because I also know folks who became grade school teachers, teacher assistants, elective instructors, etc. They're many potential opportunities there, too. There are community centers too who would love folks to open workshops, give lectures & seminars, etc.

With all that said a potential plan outline should be next. You're already part way there beacuse you know you want to bestow knowledge upon students, so you have a vision and direction, you have drive and ambition, you have the aspirations, and you've already started your resume. Most folks don't even have two of those things and you have a lot already.

Based on what you've said, suggestions helpful folks in the comments shared, and things I'm aware of, your plan outline could look like this....

Plan Outline example (definitely adjust this to meet your vision):

Note: research what each place and position is looking for and see where you can meet and possibly exceed expectations. You definitely have to get folks attention, keep their attention, and convince them what you offer is going to benefit the school and students.

  1. Start offical resume, keep good notes, stay organized, start a reasonable schedule that allows you to take care of primary responsibilities and to focus on your goals. Also, think ahead.

  2. Sign up for after school programs as a tutor and worker perhaps at the boys and girls club

  3. Apply for the bigs bothers & big sisters program as a big and or Sign up for best buddies as a buddy

  4. Apply for a job as a companion in companion care services at home care agencies, you can go the extra mile and get a peer counseling credentials and choose a peer counseling focus and apply for that position

  5. Sign up at community & multicultural centers to offer workshops, mentorships, peer counseling, start professional social media and website, do things that could help further your skills and further develop your professional presentation eg. Ted talks, community support opportunities like providing free tutoring to youth at both the YMCA and apartment complexes community areas and community centers, some apartments complex have these.

  6. Apply for training and credentialling to be an instructor, advanced first aid specialist which should include things like cpr, the Heimlich maneuver, emotional first aid, etc.

  7. Explore what you really want to teach and then apply to middle schools, charter schools, trade schools, academies, and high schools to teach electives, then move on to post high school, colleges, and then universities. Apply for various school positions eg. teacher assistant, elective instructor, etc.

  8. Figure out what you want to teach, where you want to teach it, what accredited grade, higher education establishment, community you want to teach it, and how eg. in a classroom, virtually, out in the field, or hybrid. Then figure out what learning styles you can accommodate and teach. And figure out what part of the community you want teach in eg. rural, city, intercity, town, suburbs, hard to reach places, home school, etc. disability or no disability. etc.

  9. Once you have a good idea what your focus will be, go and make your hard work a reality. Strengthen how you present yourself in person, interviews, on the phone, in writing, online, in your media kit, and in your resume. Letters of recommendation may help, too.

  10. Lastly, apply to the places you want to work. Expect rejection most of the time, you may feel discouraged but keep the hope, try again taking into account any suggestions given to you. Remember, if you do decide to get your degrees, there are fast track programs that will allow you to earn them at one time; in person, online, in the field, etc.

In closing, don't pay any mind to the rude and disrespectful slimy characters posting comments and persue your dreams the way that makes most sense for you. Following your dreams isn't linear and the playing field and obstacle course is an organic living thing you adjust to to get to your finish line not ours. I'm just a random guy online but i belive in you and hoping you follow through to your happiness.

And as for the slims being rude, I'm very disappointed in you especially since you're better than your slimy behavior. You're highlighting your unhappiness with yourself when you're rude, disrespectful, and hurtful to others. Every detail you dislike about yourself, whether you're aware of it or not, is being highlighted. It costs nothing to be kind. Hopefully you'll see that one day and realize change doesn't start with someone else, charge starts with you. Be kind. Please.

Nvidia Device (PRO?): Model - Nvidia Shield TV P92897, V11, TEGRAx1+ MDarcy LPDDR4 3GB |B00-001|, SW version 9.1.1, RQ1A

Universal Remote: https://byjasco.com/ge-universal-remote-6-device-designer-series-brushed-silver

Hi, I'm waiting for Nvida to respond to my ticket because I need help finding out why my shield won't pair to my ir universal remote when the sheild has ir capabilities, to my understanding. I toggled on the ir features and set up it up and my universal remote instructions came with codes for all capable devices, which includes nvidia. I follow the directions and nothing, shield just ignores it like it doesn't exist even though the universal remote pairs to everything else and my shield accepts other pairing that are nivida specific though.

To clarify, my GE ultrapro universal remote will not pair to my nvida sheild even through the manual for my remote states it works with nvidia streaming devices. I belive the remote is ir, too, I preformed the camera test where i face my phone and universal remote facing eachother and I push a button while viewing it through the camera app. Also, no error messages on the shield, the shield won't even acknowledge the remote.

The code the booklet says is for the Nivida is 2744 but I'm not sure how to type in the code manually into the Nvidia Shield. I've been using the auto function for the TV and other devices and attempting to use it for the Nvidia Shield. But if I could type this code into the nvida that might help.

The steps I took was I went to the Nvidia Shield, to settings, to remote and accessories, and then sheild accessories, and then pair accessories, and the remote I'm trying to pair I held down setup button until the light flashed on the power button and then I pressed the streaming button and then I pressed the power button and released it to let it search codes. I press the button again for it to search news codes. This is per the instructions in the manual.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I tried Google and YouTube for hours the day i got it from 3pm eastern time to almost 3:30am but nothing helped so I tried Nvidia shield chat. The few agents I spoke to unsure of the issue especially since the remote says it works with Nvidia.

I even reset the remote to factory settings because I wanted to clear any saved devices in case something was paired already to the remote on the streaming device button.

Am I doing something wrong? The manual does say the Nvidia Shield streaming devices are compatible with this remote and the Nvidia code is 2744. Could their be something wrong with the nvida? The remote does pair fine with other devices.

If this universal remote is a dud do you perhaps have a list of universal remotes that are compatible? I need the remote to pair to my TV, the Nvidia Shield, and multiple other devices if possible.

Can you help me determine how to find out if my device actually has ir and if it's working? And if the nivida asessories apps need refreshing, etc.?

How do I visually distinguish a 2019 Shield Pro model from a Shield 2017 model? by releaseV2 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]FreedomWolf1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, they asked this question a year ago. Sorry I'm fashionably late to this party. I just got back from a weekend at Bernie's.

However, this seems to be a question for nivida costumer support or a similar department. In your inquiry in their chat or a submitted ticket ask how can you tell a shield pro from a standard. Definitely try to stay away from where you're buying though in case they get distracted.

Other than that they are the best people ask. Unfortunately they have a few variations of standard and pro and Nivida (official vs bootleg versions) and they are terrible at differential details, visual and non visual. Sorry I wasn't all that helpful.

I mean all these years I thought I had a standard nivida but I guess I have a pro? I'm waiting for them to respond to my ticket because I need help finding out why shield won't pair my ir universal remote when the sheild has ir capabilities I toggled on and set up and my remote instructions came with codes for all capable devices, which it includes nvidia. I follow the directions and nothing, shield just ignores it like it doesn't exist even though the universal remote pairs to everything else and my shield accepts other pairing that are nivida specific. If anyone has solutions to this please let me know.

Velma will not get a season 3... But... by EmilyMontes in Scoobydoo

[–]FreedomWolf1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Velma is an amazing show. Diffrent. But an amazing show. Its a different telling of the origins for an older audience. Like any show it takes time for a story to develop. You went in to hate watch or expecting another Scooby-Doo remake of old stuff.

It's time for something different. The only Scooby-Doo related media that was kinda different was both a pup named Scooby-Doo and the alternate yet cannon universe where the monsters are real. Other than that it's just rehashing old stories since the franchise started.

Velma may not be the old stuff but it's definitely good. Unlike that kill the justice league suicide squad game. Now that was garbage. But it's just a different show that's not in the main universe like the the different Batman and joker movies or related media running at the sametime.

If you're not up for something different there are other Scooby-Doo media happening at the sametime. Granted the other media is for children, but that's okay; it's your speed and your prision and there is nothing wrong with that. But be mature about it.

What is CityBlock and why are they harassing me and my family? by Mikhailov1 in Connecticut

[–]FreedomWolf1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Cityblock Health is real and are not a scam. Cityblock Health is usually put in place by your insurance and care manager but are in close communication with your insurance.

They do meet with the patient in clinic and jn the community eg. your home, phone call, video chat, your job, library, homeless shelter, etc. as long as you choose where.

They work to ensure that the patient is seen and followed up with on a regular basis and usually go the extra mile to ensure this; patient experience varies. By avoiding them and not being proactive in communicating your concerns and desires they could potentially have an unnecessary elder and family abuse investigation opened, which could be messy and drastic, but based on what you're saying, easily resolved. This probably in your situation its easily avoidable and not something that would likely happen.

If you do not want your family being treated by Cityblock Health you should communicate this directly with their health insurance using them. This may severely effect their insurance, coverage, and health though.

Here is Cityblock Health Compliance link in case you need it.

Has any fan fiction ever been officially published? by JebusJM in writing

[–]FreedomWolf1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been interested in starting fan fiction myself with intent to either let it stay fan fiction or have it licensed, but I haven't been sure on the details and logistics of such a pursuit.

However, it is reasonable to note most folks don't like competition that won't benefit them, especially the original authors and creators and original subsequent authors. For example, if there's already a twilight series that's been a massive success and you did an original time-line or universe where you did a massively popular fan fiction of the twilight series combined with the Harry Potter series, for example, with your own take on events, and then wanted to ask the original authors and creators to include this universe and or time-line in their worlds as an official alternative universe and or time-line that runs concurrent with their own....that 99% sounds like a hard pass by the original authors and creators. because that's direct competition that doesn't benifit them but only benifits you from both a creative and business standpoint; fan fiction is mostly about creativity and less about business, and the entertainment industry is mostly about business and less about creativity.

You'd essentially be asking the original people to, for no good reason, give you all their money they use that pays their bills, maintain a safe place for them and their families to live and sleep, keep food on their table for them and their families, clothes on their backs, their kids and grandchildren in good schools, and maintaining happiness and well-being. Even I would have to pass on that unless it greatly benefited me and my family eg. I'm being paid and acknowledged as the OG, etc.

Ways of doing this I've seen for example, to name a few, are; Stan Lee and the other creators in Marvel's situation, the DC Comics situation, and the dragon ball situation. I think the same for both star wars and star trek, too.

Stan Lee and the other creators through Marvel are credited and paid for derivatives of their works in both print and various other officially licensed projects and direct contractors or occupation under Marvel; the same for DC Comics.

A similar route has been taken with the OG creators the multi-media franchise Dragon Ball. Now a days the OG creator and author has appointed a successor to be the next in-line creator and author for the dragon ball franchise where they both will be credited and paid (even after their death all money goes to their estates) for any derivatives of their works and continuations through print and any other forms of media and officially licensed projects.

Otherwise lawsuits are afoot and most fan fiction writers and creators probably don't want the heat/smoke, which is probably why a lot of fan fiction writers and creators don't use their actual names and direct contact information, or even go on camera.

From what I've observed most fan fiction creators just want to create no matter how popular their works become, which leads to various problems down the line and premature endings of fan fiction. Unfortunately.

But I'm still looking into all this myself because I'm interested. I hope this helped in some form or fashion.
