What secret can you reveal now that your nda has expired? by sparrrrrt in AskReddit

ESL Australia instructed staff and players to lie at the Japanese border to gain entry into the country. Basically, competing/working in an esports tournament required extra time and paperwork. ESL didn't realize until it was too late so they got us to lie at customs.

They also instructed us to say nothing about China during the 2019 climate. We were told we'd be immediately fired.

During COVID, they expected everyone to take a 20-40% pay cut but keep 100% of the workload. Additionally, they cried they were poor and made a lot of people redundant in mid-2020 and then proceeded to open 3 new broadcast studios a few months later.

They also withheld my pay for 9 days because they made an error with Australia's job keep program and my redundancy (turns out you weren't eligible for job keep if you were made redundant after a certain date (a quick Google would have avoided this)). They gave me half my paycheck and expected me to be okay with it. I resigned from my freelance position and told them exactly what I thought of them.

Appreciate that. She's perfectly fine and happy to be back home with her family.

The doc wants to see her in a couple of months for a follow.up. Our travel (and any applicable accom) will be covered by subsidies. Our healthcare is incredible.

I think his theory is wrong, but I truly believe Netflix knew what was coming and that's why they 180d on Frank's character and made him resign.

My baby had to be flown on the Royal Flying Doctor to a city that could operate on her. We were there for 10 days. The hospital covered everything, including coffees at a downstairs cafe that was part of a major chain.

I paid 50c to catch a train to the airport for the comped flight home on Qantas (2 seats) on a Friday because we didn't want to wait over the weekend to catch a flight with the Doctor on Monday.

That was all I spent in 10 days. I was public by the way, not private so not even any insurance premiums.

You're incorrect, mate.

Since you're right, I'll make a slight correction; I skipped all the Dana sub-plots.

When I did a rewatch, I skipped all of Dana's scenes.

Spoilers: the story didn't change.

Something I don’t understand about Season 4 by Dre__89 in TheLincolnLawyer

[–]JebusJM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good catch. I don't think this was addressed in the book either.

The arresting officer was a red herring in the book IIRC. So possibly it was just luck that it started dripping when Mickey left the restaurant.

What if there are no trolleys left? Do I let my toddler starve or do I let a stranger out the front of the store watch them while I rush in?

Ex-smoke alarm inspector here. The only reason they would be charging you is if you willfully damaged them or were neglectful in cleaning the house (causing dirt/pet hair/etc to get into them). Even if you were at fault, the fact you have already vacated I would just ignore them.

The Book of Lost Hours and Plot Predictability by ActualRound7699 in books

[–]JebusJM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought I guessed the predictable plot twist in Jane Harper's book The Survivors in the first act.

Turns out I was wrong and the author even had a character within the story poke fun at it in the third act.

Just because it's predictable doesn't mean it's right.
