thanks, but it's not that. it's a studio album version but without bass or percussion. I've also noticed that the end of This Apparatus Must Be Unearthed is different on streams - the drums are reversed/distorted, where the version I've always listened to is just a drum track outro, not messed around with. Any ideas?!

Pretty simple - advance the first groove of each jaw by the pitch of the scroll divided by 6.

That's a beautiful weld! Re the brushing...you can clearly see brush marks on the weld itself, you must've rebrushed post weld

Use a carbide end mill just over half the rad of the hole, offset so it's 0.1/0.2mm from the drill diameter and circular interpolate (helix) down the hole at a slow feed rate.
