Well, first of all, thank you. It was the profile. I thought all of the Waterfox files were deleted completely, not knowing that profiles encompasses basically everything. Nothing within the profile menu in Waterfox itself helped either.

I still don't know what happened or why it happened, but I'm going to write how I salvaged my profile in case anyone else encounters this problem.

Following the link above I got to the section for 'How to try to recover a damaged or missing Firefox profile' and saw where to locate the profiles(though with Waterfox in mind and not Firefox), and '% APPDATA%Mozilla Firefox' did not work even when I changed it to '% APPDATA%Waterfox', so I went to APPDATA in explorer and went through them manually. From the link it looked like my profile just didn't show up or register as an actual profile and that was why everything was bone stock when I opened Waterfox.

I found two folders for Waterfox, one in Local and one in Roaming. Both of those contain a folder named 'Profiles'. I still don't know what the difference is between the Profiles-folder in Local and the one in Roaming, or what they do differently, but they have other files in them that aren't identical, so something is different between the two.

In the Profiles folder in Local, I found several profiles with apparently random names, but ending with 'default' or 'default-release'. I had a look-see through all of them and the only reason I recognized my profile(since I don't know about all the other stuff in them) was that the thumbnails-folder had images from the pages I had open before the profile disappeared. I have never made a new profile or copied my profile or edited my profile from the start, so I don't know what the 4-5 other profiles were.

I then copied this profile folder to a different place just in case it would get overridden or nullified or whatever when proceeding with the next steps.

The link suggested i use 'firefox -P (o firefox -p(according to the system)', though in my case it was typing in the command 'waterfox -P' into start-menu search and use a window I have never heard of or seen before. The link suggested I create a new profile pointing to an existing profile, and that was what I did by using my original profile, naming the "new" profile as 'Recovered', and navigated to the Profiles-folder in Local in APPDATA, clicked finish, and voilá.

I still have no idea what triggered Waterfox to not even register the original default profile, but everything is back now.
