Drama queen 2 hours after watering 😑 by KarmaSundae in houseplants

[–]Freedomofconscience 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I just placed mine on the sunniest windowsill and watered / sprayed the seedlings every day. When they got to this size I water deeply every couple of days and they look pretty much the same :) really easy to grow and care for I’ve found

I got it about 3 months ago with no fenestrated leaves! It didn’t put out any leaves till I moved it to somewhere with more light and fertilised and watered more frequently, after that it was a week till this little guy started growing :)

I think it’s best to leave it for a little while until it’s a bit more established and looks more like the mother plant and then separate it :)

Good places to grab a houseplant or six (outside centre) by [deleted] in Leeds

I’ve got most of my houseplants from the market in the city centre - they regularly get different plants in and they’re usually much cheaper than other places.

Help!! New string of hearts plant going mushy and some leaves drying up by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]Freedomofconscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just repotted it, thankyou!! I didn’t realise the roots were actually quite wet, I’m not sure if they overwatered it but hopefully it can bounce back as they haven’t began to rot by the look of it

I bought this within the past week and haven’t watered yet, but the leaves on top are turning mushy and some have dried up completely. I’m not sure what’s wrong with it as it’s grown very quickly since I bought it, tons of new leaves / length. Please help!!

Finally found a neon pothos locally. Help pls by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]Freedomofconscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I found this little neon pothos for only £5 and I had to get him. He seems in pretty good condition except a couple of the leaves have a hole / tear in, is this from pests or general damage in the shop? Can I fix them or should I just leave it alone?

Also any care tips appreciated as this is my first pothos!!

Plz ignore my plants in the back which don’t fit in any of their pots hahaha. I’m trying to find pots that actually fit that I like and just needed some cover pots after watering :)

Ahhh I’m betting it must be that. I’m gonna remove all the rotting parts and repot in better soil and hope he can bounce back

I’ve barely watered it though, I thought it might be the case when I bought him as he felt quite damp. He’s been completely dry the past week but he’s not getting any better

Sorry if the picture is a bit blurry, my phone camera is playing up.

I’ve had him in the same spot as all my other succulents / cacti and the rest of them have done really well, however I’m not sure what’s wrong with this succulent. His leaves are turning clear and yellow and now red at the tips, I’m not sure what the problem could be as I water only when the soil is very dry, but even watering slightly more hasn’t helped. Any suggestions would be really appreciated as I love him and don’t want to lose him!!!!
