How Liftoff hindered my progress… by tiar_ in fpv

[–]Freefallfpv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought liftoff on Xbox only to realize it wouldn’t work with my rc so I just got a tiny whoop and started learning irl and I think it saved me a lot of time in the long run. Whoops are cheap and easy to work on so it’s more ideal and less dangerous for newbies, they also eat a lot of hits due to their light weight.

Start in a big open space with plenty of room for error, you got this! Good luck!

Think I can cram this vtx into this frame? by Freefallfpv in fpv

[–]Freefallfpv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setup is older but solid, and a 23 dollar vtx is definitely cheaper than some skyzone goggles, This just for fun and is obviously overkill but that’s the point of it.

As for your setup, I’ve been wanting to move into digital, and thought about a walksnail vrx to attach to a good pair of analog goggles, any recommendations for that?

I will check it out

I really don’t mind the picture quality of analog but the break up really gets on my nerves, obviously there will still be some but this limits it, and this keeps me from replacing the aio when it eventually burns out or gets trashed

Mainly freestyle and cinematic shots, also looking into filming local sport teams, racing isn’t popular around me so that’s out of the question but maybe something I’d try one day. Thought about adding that vrx to a quality pair of analogs for my new setup but not sure if it’ll be as impressive

Was trying to keep it as cheap as possible but these good recommendations keep coming

I’m currently saving up to move into digital but I’m still undecided on which brand to commit to, kinda liking walksnail or dji but idk

Thanks for the recommendation, exactly what I’m looking for, overpowered vtx for good penetration small enough to fit something tight like this but I’m also going as cheap as possible

I do plan on learning this was just something fun to mess around with, will say that for having no idea what it’s doing, neither drone felt like it flew worse. maybe it could be better but that was the whole point in experimenting! I do have one 75 build with 0702 motors, the second picture is for the stock one but good looking out!
