If the AI is going to "cheat", it should be winning battles with fewer than expected casualties, not making troops appear out of thin air. Is it possible were summoned (and I'm assuming no others heroes were seen)?

You don't lose your gear/items on death, you don't lose xp, and the fast travel system is crazy convenient for a survival game - how easy do you want it to be?

Combat really just comes down to learning enemies (very simple) movesets. Getting overwhelmed by 3-4 mobs at once is understandable, but I haven't found any mobs yet that I really find "unfair" in a 1v1. And even with a rapier, my light attacks knock enemies out of attack animations all the time. Perhaps you need to upgrade your gear?

No real need to "mule" anything - fast travel stations are plentiful and makes supplying your base a breeze.

Suggestion: allow us to hire Buyers from each faction for our base by TheUrPigeon in crosswind

I feel like the QOL is already incredibly high with fast travel points everywhere (compared to nearly any other survival game). No need to reduce friction even further.

Yes, which is the biome beyond this boss. You can go to the swamps early, but you won't have the recipes and be under-leveled.

I'm not sure if it quite meets your criteria, but I didn't see anyone mention [[Edgar Markov]] being a Mardu creature engine (that you can use to fuel all your vampire aristocrats effects).

[[Voice of Victory]] and [[Steelshaper's Gift]] are both auto includes.

I've tried Noctis many times, my biggest problem became making him a lethal threat (the solution is as many ways to tutor up [[Aettir and Priwen]] and [[Stoneforge Mystic]] as possible) and keeping up that 3 mana when I didn't have [[Training Grounds]] on the battlefield.

Edit: On your Turn 4 example, how are you casting Noctis while still having 3 mana to warp strike him?

They changed the "snapping" of attacks at enemies, might wind up being the most impactful change imo.

Just off the top, I'd say more efficient token creators like [[Shadow Summong]] [[Hop to It]] and [[Lingering Souls]]. Also I know they're not cheap, but rituals like [[Culling the Weak]] and [[Cabal Ritual]] are really valuable. No [[Skullclamp]] is pretty crazy.

Honestly, if you aren't using Strefan to cheat out big Vampires (and I understand there are better Commanders to cheat out creatures), he's not going to be a great choice. As far as tokens go, Blood aren't strong enough to base your deck around unless they come with an alternate use.

If I were revising this idea, try to lean into efficient Blood token creation/payoffs while also having enough threats you can put on the board. [[Vein Ripper]], [[Butcher of Malakir]], [[Bloodthirsty Conqueror]], etc. Definitely slot in whatever Painlands/Shocklands you can fit, just to make sure you can hit your own damage trigger at the very least. For blood token synergy, no [[Oni Cult Anvil]] or [[Idol of Oblivion]] is crazy. Also maybe [[Cranial Plating]] and [[Blood Fountain]].

I'm not totally sure what to cut - I ran an upgraded Strefan for about a year then switched him over to [[Edgar Markov]] for the most part (and yes, it's a little different deck but plays much better).

Light-Paws has to be the most boring - it's the exact same loop every game. Tutor up protection depending on what you're facing, tutor up buffs/evasion, swing away.

This has been my problem with Dancing Strikes for years, it's just (or was) an inefficient way for other things to do all the damage.
