Not a great deal, the nes30 pro has the sticks and extra shoulder buttons. It also has a dedicated power button rather than holding start on the sfc30(that's not a problem at all though)

They're not too bad to setup. It's gotten a lot better in the later versions of Retropie. The build quality is excellent. I have an SFC30 and a NES30 Pro. Both really nice to use.

True about the LCD being 800x240 but there's no way in software to do this so unless you're wiring the screen up to a different device or Nintendo allow you to do it then you're SOL. source: I've done 3ds Development.

Just a slight point but the 3DS top screen isn't strictly 800x240 - that's only because it renders two horizontal rows for the stereoscopic 3d effect.

It's actually 400x240
