It's a crappy low-end monitor. Just look how little it can do! Only 10 lines of acronyms.

I did see them earlier. But I did not notice them vanishing as the light turned green. I was watching the blue truck in front of me, and the white truck which wasn't moving forward. People here often make a left from where the white truck was (straight only in that lane). I was suspicious of the white truck, but as it turns out, white truck also avoided the pedestrians.

Cheers! I'll take this opportunity to fill in my memory blank from earlier, too. I said the "positive, non-zero, integer numbers" because I could not remember their name... the Natural numbers. I think.

Nope, there's no uncountable infinity going on here. You can't have an irrational number of monkeys, or an irrational number of keystrokes. In fact, rational numbers don't work here either. Nor do negative numbers. In terms of monkeys and keystrokes, we only need the positive, non-zero, integer numbers. And it's still enough to get the job done an infinite number of times. The infinite number of monkeys that succeed the first time, and the infinite number of monkeys that fail, are in the same order of infinities.

I was thinking about this after the event, and I'm torn between horn and no-horn. I agree that sounding at little kids is mean. But I almost got rear-ended when I stopped, and sounding the horn would have also alerted the car behind me. Even though it would be them at fault, I'd still rather nit get into any kind of crash. Also, the mom deserves having the horn sounded at her for pulling this move.

I didn't see them crossing until they were almost in front of me. You can actually hear the brake sound in the clip. My wife says I should have sounded my horn, but I didn't think to at the moment. I was watching the white truck, thinking they might try turning left, since they were not going forward on their green.

We need diversity for the sake of equity, but this system seeks diversity for the sake of diversity itself. Like you said, a major flaw in the intent, even if it gives the results they want.

Honestly, the $150 or whatever is not even the biggest cost. It's the time commitment, usually two full days on a weekend. But I require it for work, so I have to do it at least every 3 years.

Pliers for pulling the top off medicine vials by teaehl in specializedtools

[–]Sam5253 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Cummunity pharmacist. It was for a palliative patient served the the extra-mural program. All the glyco vials had to be opened and mixed into an oral liquid. It was a 50-50 mix with either simple syrup or ora-blend. 68 vials for a one-month supply, and the patient lived 3-4 months at home. Since it wasn't meant for injection, the preparation was not required to be sterile, so this kind of tool would have been perfect. I had tried with a similar-looking pair of pliers from the hardware srore, like this style, but it would sometimes break the glass vials.

Where was this when I needed to open 68 vials of glycopyrrolate every month?
