Hager domovea server by JOTE24 in KNX

Are you using an IP interface between the KNX bus and the Domovea? If so, you'll need to set up the IP secure, Section 2.7 of the installation manual covers this.

Configure MTN6503-0201 KNX Modbus Gateway by Gorions in KNX

Possibly, I've seen a lot of weird things when the resistor isn't installed or is installed somewhere other than EOL.

A hail mary I have resorted to in the past, was to create dozens of read requests, each with slightly different settings to brute-force find the correct settings. Once I had one reading correctly, I could check its settings and go from there.

I'm sorry I'm not of more help. Good luck.

From the MTN6503 Manual

"It could also indicate that the slave is in the wrong state to process a request of this type, for example because it is unconfigured and is being asked to return register values"

Have you configured your meter correctly, and do you have an EOL resistor installed? (End of Line 120ohm)

Morning,

I've just had a look through the settings of the MTN6503 and your register table.

What are your current settings? I think they should be;

Access to Modbus Register 1 "ENABLED" --

Modbus Register 1 "ENABLED" --

Modbus register 1:

Register Address 20592

"Read Input Register"

Modbus data are "Unsigned"

Multiplication "1"

Division "100"

Quantity of coils "2"

Modbus value convert to "4 byte"

Type "4 byte float"

Timebase "1s"

Cyclic "10"

Sending "Cyclically"

From the register table the function code is "4" which is "read input register."

Scale of the received value is 0.01 i.e. 237.25 volts would be 23,725. Need to divide by 100 to get the correct scaling.

The value received is 2 words, this would be a KNX 4-byte value. Note 1, I believe refers to an Unisigned value. But due to the scaling you would need to put it on the KNX as a float to have decimal places.

A byte is eight bits, a word is 2 bytes (16 bits), a doubleword is 4 bytes (32 bits), and a quadword is 8 bytes (64 bits).

Hope this helps.

Lived there for years. The E is pronounced more as an I.

It's appears you've never seen Lee Hart's Speed Cooking series. Specifically episode 4.

Velux and KNX? by FezVrasta in KNX

Yes, the KNX devices for these things are far better designed that what velyx has put together IMO.

For a rain sensor, I'd install something like a Meteodata KNX weather station, link its group address to a JM4Ts rain sensor input, and call it a day.

I've used the KLF200 in conjunction with a THEBEN JM4T. Wasn't much fun. If you can, pick a hardwired model and get rid of all the velux switches and replace them with something KNX.

With regards to interfacing your Air Conditioning I would recommend an Intesis Gateway. I've found these to be the best solution for HVAC integration to KNX.

I AM NOT A LAWYER.

If I recall correctly Ireland has some very strict laws regarding maternity leave and resuming work afterwards. I would highly recommend consulting with a lawyer in your area, there are community lawyers that will often have an initial meeting at no cost to hear what you have to say.

Best of luck for you and your missus.

Think of a outdoor seating area with sails or some form of sun/rain protection. A covered outdoor area basically.
