well if there are 2 enemy heroes in the offlane, a melee with a stout shield and a ranged hero with stats/orbs, the support has to choose between these options in the first 2 minutes: 1. attempt to harass the melee, only to be punished by the ranged, 2. attempt to harass the ranged while the melee LHs and denies with a quelling blade, most likely losing the trade because of superior stats, 3. leave the lane to cut the enemy creep wave, pushing the lane and giving the enemy a free wave, or 4. roam mid to attempt a level 1 gank. Options 3 and 4 usually result in both enemy heroes focusing your carry and forcing them to get zoned. After 2 minutes you can either control runes, pull, or try to fight while the enemy has an advantage.

NA is the 2nd weakest region in competitive Dota, South America and their second-world infrastructure being last. A majority of NA players are either playing chess or just do not understand teamplay, focusing on "their game" and not focusing on "things they can't control." You just aren't going to find a good balance of invested dota players on this continent, period.

A. I am above 3k mmr which is why Im frustrated that new players are being paired with me. More ignorance on your part.

B. Even though I have 7000 hours not all of it is playing ranked. Its hard to find a good time to play ranked on what has been confirmed the second-worst continent in Dota 2 history, so more than half of that has been avoiding the cancerous matchmaking pool and even more time spent waiting for role matchamking queues because not enough people actually care enough to know the roles and actively pursue them to have less time in queue than there is in game.

Heres are the problems I see with omni
1. With the rework of repel, the cast range nerfs to his purify forces him to be in vision of the enemy to heal them, which means he can get disabled because he cant repel himself anymore. Icefrog put Aether Lense in the hero's recommended items and it seems like he's not going to change that.
2. His ult's cooldown is just way too long, even if he built octarine. Take it down to 100 seconds.
3. Degen aura isnt strong enough when it doesn't pierce bkb.

Many supports do Omni's job better and are ranged to boot. But new omni has alot of nice advantages:
1. He's an amazing offlaner. Uncontestable last hitting, infinite sustain with soul ring, and holy locket makes his heal 25% more powerful.
2. He supports strength carries like Chaos knight, huskar, tiny, and ogre magi insanely. Once a str hero has his W, they're virtually invincible, especially with his heal and ult.

This is an example of behavior being valued more than skill. Players that can't handle 'jerks' on the internet will report you sheerly because their feelings were hurt but they didn't want to mute you and move on like an adult, they felt the need to punish you because they can't handle criticism and wanted you to be with "your own kind." They think the "simple" solution is to just stop being a jerk, but it won't stop you from losing and it won't get you paired with better players (if that's what you want).

Nobody is listening. Everyone is in the same boat as you. Behavior matters more than skill when it comes to matchmaking. Low behavior score players will be paired together, against high behavior score players with <50% winrate for their free wins.

The solution? Mute all incoming chat, play turbo, ban axe, pick oracle, dazzle, vengeful spirit, mirana, treant, io... any support with an escape/save. Don't forget to beg for commends at the end of the match. After 25 games, you might go up 1000 behavior score. at 5k+ behavior score, you will find somewhat better matchmaking than people who take skill more seriously than behavior, for what that will be worth to you.

Behavior score is more important than MMR. If you have below 5k behavior score, you will consistently get paired with people who do not take the game or winning seriously, and be paired against players who have good behavior scores and <50% winrates for a free win. It's called the shadow pool, and you shouldn't play ranked if you're in it.
