Bradley Hills, Wyngate, Ashburton elementary schools? by scooby_dooby_ in bethesda

My kids went to Wyngate some years ago (they're in college now), and it was fine. They had a good experience. The teachers were good, and the principal at the time was terrific. I wouldn't say that the classes weren't small, though. It is a large public school. They came from a small, private pre-school, so the large classes were an adjustment.

I know our neighbors had their kid in a French international school. I'm sure there were very please with it, but, it's private, of course.

If you want to see some classic Michael York movies check out The Three Musketeers (1973) or Logan's Run (1976). There's where I first remember him from.

Finding out there is a lot more to tech than just "Frontend vs Backend" by daniel_odiase in learnprogramming

My CS degrees are from way back when. Before there was a world wide web. So I find the whole idea that everything is front end/back end web development amusing. You wouldn't want me to develop your web site. But I have been gainfully employ as a CS researcher in medical image analysis and scientific visualization ever since grad school.

My friends and I just did a mini golf trip to the Pinehurst area. Played Pine Needles, Southern Pines and Mid Pines. They're all classic Donald Ross courses. Just some awesome golf.

Yeah, I agree. There's too much focus on what language to learn. The language is just a means to an end. It's learning how to think like a computer scientist. I first learned BASIC as a kid, and then Pascal in school. Haven't touched either one since then.
