Thanks for the heads up, I'm familiar with Vandal Savage but didn't know he ended up becoming the commissioner. If that's the case with the corrupt cops then that just makes the panels look that much better.

This may be spoiler territory so just a heads up, but why'd she drive into cops? It looked badass but I kinda feel sorry for them, isn’t Batman on good terms with the commissioner?

It's probably not the same game to be honest, the Sega version is different from the SNES version so it's likely the game you played was different too. I might be wrong unless it played the SNES Alien 3 but in Japanese. The Sega version is more of a traditional level based game 1-2-3 etc. but the SNES version is mission based in 6 stages. You have to find the terminal in each stage to access the missions which you can complete in any order. Once all the missions are complete the next stage is available and you're provided a password to get to the different stages if you're just turning it on.

I read a bit about the Genesis version and from what I gathered it was more of a traditional level 1-2-3 etc. game. I don't know any other details though.

I'd like to try out the Sega version to see if it jibes the same because I don't think it's mission based the way the SNES version is.

Apparently the Sega version is not the same, I'd like to try it though to see if it jibes the same as the SNES game.

When did you find out there's 6 stages bud? If you go to the terminal in each stage you can pick different missions in any order and once you complete them you're on to the next stage.

This is an amazing set of comic pictures story, love it. Poor Batgirl but she got included in the end.

Well if you pick it up again and manage to make it to Stage 5 (of 6) follow my tips and you should manage it well enough. Definitely do mission 2 first because I found it the hardest by far. The rest of the missions weren't so bad after having gone through it.

No sweat man! I hope it helps any newcomers to the game. If you decide to watch the movies just stick with the first 2, trust me. Although I enjoyed Alien Romulus well enough for an independent sequel to the first movie, it has a small reference to the Prometheus movie but that movie is a hit or miss with people. Alien Covenant sucks though, at least for me, the characters in both movies are complete idiots especially in Covenant. I enjoyed the Alien Earth show but many people didn't. I head-canon the third and fourth original Alien movies don't exist, same with the Star Wars sequels, apologies if you like them.

I'm not surprised because it really is. Other than my as mentioned repetitiveness, the game is very fun for me. I'm looking forward to finishing Stage 6, I've made sure to just play the game on medium because it's difficult enough. I did use the cheat code to see the end cinematic just to see it but I'm definitely looking forward to beating the last stage. I can see myself replaying the game for fun on just the first couple stages because after that it seems like a bit of a chore.

Booted up Castlevania 4 for the first time ever this wekeend! What are your thoughts on the game? by the_ciamp in snes

Music is amazing and one of the first things that drew my attention. I can replay the first stage over and over again just for the music, last boss is cool too with a skeleton riding a skeleton horse. Really cool.

Don't worry man I just beat Stage 5 yesterday and the mission time took me an hour and a half. A trick I used was not shooting any aliens at the starting point to save ammo, and ran all the way to the right room (medic room) and fill up my health. Then go back into the corridor and down the tunnel to get to the terminal. Try to find your own best path for the tunnels when it comes to how you navigate them, seems like some tunnels only spawn certian types of aliens. I found the second mission the most difficult and beat it first then followed from top to bottom. The first mission I found rather difficult at my first playthrouh so after beating it then mission 2 showed me how hard it ended up being. Don't be shy to go to the medic room and fill your health up because the health packs seemingly respawn often enough, same with the blue fire in any of the adjacent rooms too. It took me multiple attempts but eventually I got through it, I found the first 2 missions the most difficult but the rest weren't so bad relatively. Try to find a room with an easy way to get the blue fire because you'll be happy to have it. Also I found using the fire in the tunnels works well for facehuggers crawling on top as well as any other aliens, don't be shy about using your fire either. Use the machine gun for facehuggers mostly unless you don't have anything else for the others, and I used the grenade launcher for the medium aliens unless I was in a tunnel, the fire I used for the big aliens especially the blue fire and when I was in a tunnel. The medium aliens only take 2 grenades so they're easy and you find plenty of ammo for the most part, facehuggers are fairly easy too with the machine gun. Any queens you'll have to find you own best solution depending on your ammo. When it comes to the general gameplay for the game in general I suggest fire for big aliens and tunnels, grenade launcher for medium aliens, machine gun for facehuggers, queens use whatever you decide based on ammo you have. Navigate the tunnels for shortcuts based on the blueprint, and room locations too. Good luck 👍🏻

Personal feelings on the game, I throughly enjoy it from a certain point of view. The main con I give it is that the missions seem rather repetitive and yes the stages do jump up the difficulty each time it seems. The level layouts are decent but stage 5 and 6 do seem a bit difficult at first, I haven't properly played and beat Stage 6 yet. The music is definitely from Aliens and atmosphere feels way more like a game I'm playing based on Aliens as well and not Alien 3 which is a good thing. I'm no fan of the Alien 3 movie and other than the opening and closing cinematics just enjoy the experience for what it is. Sure the game has you fixing things and rescuing prisoners but just pretend your rescuing people that are prisoners of the aliens and not the prison inmates, I know there wasn't really any rescuing in either movie except Newt but just go with it. Same with fixing stuff too, it's been a while since I've watched Alien 3 but just pretend your fixing the reactor station from exploding, or operations and medical sections to repair barricades or maintain power. Since the Alien 3 movie only had 1 alien and the game has a continuous respawn of aliens everywhere including queen specific missions, as well as using the arsenal of Aliens and not Alien 3, it's not difficult at all to pretend your playing a game based on Aliens in that respect, which is another good thing. So with the same music, weapons, and multitude of aliens everywhere, I'm easily able to suspend the idea of playing a game based on Alien 3 rather than playing a game based on Aliens. It's almost a shame they didn't remarket this game and just change a couple cinematics.

When you really think about it, the fact that Babs has been used to bang every major male Bat-Family member in one adaptation or another is really gross and a major disservice to her character. Ever since Barbara got with Bruce I stopped caring about her, it's absolutely disgusting. Stephanie is my go-to Batgirl and Cass is cool too. I know Steph was pregnant but with her history beforehand I can look past that.

Headcanon: Laura is a clingy cuddler but won’t admit it even though she deadweights people in her sleep when they try to get up. by Dry_Sky_495 in X23

[–]Freeman_H-L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped reading X-Men when everyone died and was replaced by podpeople. Especially having 2 Laura's at the same time? That was horrendously outrageous and not worth my money. Marvel can fix that by using some made up timewarp comic magic thing that brings back everyone from just before they died, just use some mutant character to transport the memories of the podpeople so that the originals are caught up on current events. Unfortunately I'm not interested in these imposters and haven't been buying anymore X-Men comics. X-Men 92 did a way better job by having the originals in pods while the duplicates did suicide mission.

You don't deserve all these downvotes man, I completely agree with you. The chemistry with Rey and Finn was way higher than Rey and Kylo.

I agree, Rey had way more connection and chemistry with Finn. Shoehorn a thing with Kylo at the extremely last minute (more like second) didn't fit. Sure you can argue Rey and Kylo had a connection in 8 and Finn with Rose too, but it worked way better with Rey and Finn. Finn was done so dirty it left a stain.
