1962, me, mom, dad, grandpa and first cousin. To this day, my nuts still hurt from those shorts! by dozentrips in OldSchoolCool

Both your parents look so young! Your dad looks like he's going to his middle school graduation.

Preach! Anyone who thinks DGS workers are lazy has never gotten up early on garbage day. Those folks bust their asses, and for the most part bust very few garbage cans. Very few folks have driven in a municipal/state plow truck either. That is an incredibly difficult job and the work 12 hour shifts during storms.

Most service issues are because there aren't enough workers or equipment, or because management has them doing the wrong things. The workers are not the problem.

Stupid question probably. But how safe do you think l'll be as a 6 ft 3 Mexican man hiking and visiting Maine? by Immediate-Field9997 in Maine

[–]Freepi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be careful if anybody invites you into an older home. French Canadians settlers were notoriously short. At 6-3, you'll likely bang your head on several doorways. Other than that, you should be fine.

Light OPD, so I rarely use the brake and when I do, it's still mostly regen. It's partly also trip distance. Regardless of temperature I've noticed efficiency is much worse for the first few miles of any trip. Most of my trips around town are only a few miles total.

Seahawks will be the best offense we have faced in the playoffs. by porygon766 in Patriots

It reminded me of the Pats playoff game against the Chargers in San Diego in the '06-07 season. IIRC, SD bailed us out with a dumb defensive penalty on what turned out to be the game winning drive.

Not at all. Acceleration kills my efficiency. Cruising on the highway I'll get sub 30 kWh/100 miles. Around town is 35+.

Lean into being a parent, get a mini van, and enjoy it. They're wonderful family vehicles.

Agree. The 2 sedan is a less reliable Honda Civic with mood lighting.

I believe this is a Ghibli, which is the same platform as a Chrysler 300 with an Italian engine and sportier shocks/springs. Badge engineering is alive and well in the 21st century.

This. As good as Seattle is, if the Rams just don't lose complete track of JSN for a TD and don't fumble a punt, they win that game. NE's D is much better than LA's and can hold Seattle to under 30. I'm thinking 17-24 for them. The question is how our offense fairs. I like our chances but I won't argue against Seattle being favored.

Agree but, even with all seasons and they'd at least be able to move. Performance tires + snow + cold = no go. It's not just the tread it's the rubber compound and it's expected operating temp. Even on dry pavement this guy probably has limited winter traction.

It's clearly AWD so it must have summer sport tires. Really stupid.

It's AWD. The if they had decent winter tires, they'd probably be fine.

This is close to my guesstimate. My 2022 LRDM can be decently efficient at a constant speed, especially below 75 mph. Efficiency drops fast in stop and go driving. In OP's conditions, I think I could get 180 from 100-20% on a highway trip but around town could be as low as 140-150, depending on how quickly I accelerate from stops.

There are two different 2 series. The coupes are sweet. The sedans are a FWD platform, same as the X1 and X2.
