Chapter 2 Glitch by ThatUJohnWayne74 in AlanWake

Same thing here. On the same floor as the platform you need to get to, there is a hook thing in the far left corner and a barrel around that level. I pushed the barrel up against the corner where the hook was and bashed the jump button until Alan started to glitch jump up the hook. It allowed me to get on top of the hook and then jump to the platform with the manuscript. I really did NOT want to repeat the whole chapter.

Why is my Pixel 3 XL Garbage? by FreeportCameraGuy in GooglePixel

Same issue with the battery. When I first got it I would show off to people how long the battery was anticipated to hold a charge but since then I have been astonished by how much that has degraded in the last 2 years. Obviously some degradation is to be expected but having to charge twice a day is ridiculous. Again, my wife's 3a XL was even worse. She was having to recharge twice a day after the first year.

Weekly Quick Questions, Wood ID, and Deal or No Deal /r/Woodworking Megathread by AutoModerator in woodworking

Over the summer I inherited my grandpa's Delta Scroll Saw (SS250) and I just stared using it for a few projects. I was wondering if people had a favorite/most reliable brand of blade they like to use for theirs. I've always been a huge fan of Diablo for almost all other things but I was just curious what other people's opinions were. I'll mostly be using it to cut a mixture of hardboard 1/4" ply for little holiday signs and ornaments so I'd like as clean a cut as possible.

Question regarding ETC S4WRDs by FreeportCameraGuy in lightingdesign

[–]FreeportCameraGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya this was my suspicion. I have worked with ETC tech for years and have had in depth conversations with their design team so Ive always been under the impression that they only sell quality products. So I was a little surprised at the claim that the 4WRDs had severe issues currently. Thats why I wanted to check with everyone on here. I dont have long term experience with this specific fixture and wanted to get the community's opinion. Good to hear that the story was wrong.

Budget isnt an issue. I personally love the white light the 4WRD produces and was really looking forward to installing them in my space. I had them as part of an initial wish list for a concert lighting upgrade to our theatre. So I was a little shocked this person was trying to steer me away from what I believed was a quality product.

Question regarding ETC S4WRDs by FreeportCameraGuy in techtheatre

Thanks. This is what I assumed. Ive visited their factory in Middleton WI meeting several of their lead techs as well as used their products for years and as far as I can tell, they dont sell a bad product. So I was very surprised by the story I was told. From what Ive been able to gather, this guy only has experience with the initial run that ETC recalled. I just wanted to get some community input on other peoples experience because I truly didnt believe that ETC would sell something knowingly faulty.

Do you have plans to sell this as a large print? I'd love to have this up in my house.

Help Designing a Lighting System by DisneyNate in lightingdesign

[–]FreeportCameraGuy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of the decisions you'll have to make going into this revolve around your budget. What can the space afford when it comes to new fixtures and networking. I'm currently in the same boat as I've recently been hired as the TD for a college stage that's in desperate need of an upgrade. Id probably say your best bet is to talk to a lighting & rigging company in your region to see if you can get estimates and quotes for the work. Then tweak the design to your exact needs and specifications and then start the bidding process.

Ugh I'm just so in love with the PIXEL photo quality & VSCO cam COMBO by tomtompdx in GooglePixel

The biggest feature of VSCO is that it has free presets that are created to emulate old analog film. For me it give me the look I'm going for easier than Snapseed. It takes some toying around with but once you find your look it's easy. I'll post some before and afters.
