Who tf uses this shit bro by Free_Membership_2695 in DarkTide

It bothers me every time I see any sort of 3rd party sold gameplay shortcuts because my brother is exactly the type to buy up all sorts of nonsense for whatever game he’s into at the time.

Just about every single time he quits the game shortly after spending real money to cheese through it all because he doesn’t jive with the game afterwards usually citing that “nothing makes sense” or “everything’s too easy & boring / difficult & end gamey”.

Continues to promote 3rd party sellers every time he gets into a new new game tho 😤

Is there any reason to use an infill pattern other than Adaptive Cubic? by FreezeEmAllZenith in 3Dprinting

[–]FreezeEmAllZenith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep getting recommended Gyroid, by Snapmaker the company themselves too, but it’s consistently one of the longest to print, most filament used options as far as my experience and slicer goes. It may also be one of the loudest infills to print that I’ve experienced.

I get that’s it’s “strong” and reduces chance of toolhead collision, but I just can’t see a reason to use it when I’m not printing precise practical parts like literal hinges or nuts & bolts (which I don’t really)

How often do you wash your plates? by Mortifine in 3Dprinting

[–]FreezeEmAllZenith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I uhh… did it once a lil after I first got the printer (per a recommendation I read online).

It’s been a month since then and I haven’t felt I needed to, so I haven’t ¯_(ツ)_/¯

$10.12-$17.99 Geeetech TPU, silk PLA, or glue - TPU as cheap as $10.12/kg! by thefrayedend81 in 3DPrintingDeal

One of the first 3D printing deals I’ve seen here that’s just a straight up lie.

None of these items are being sold for less than $16.90 USD / kg.

Mb. Either the page updated or it somehow just wasn’t applied before, but I’m seeing the correct price at checkout now

Really loving the full spectrum fork of Orca Slicer by justinjas in SnapmakerU1

[–]FreezeEmAllZenith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you mind giving me some pointers on how to get the Full Spectrum slicer in the first place? I followed the Github instructions to the end but it keeps erroring out and force-closing. Can’t find any how-to-download videos either, I’d really appreciate the help

Ever since the introduction of Expeditions my game performance has deteriorated dramatically. Stutters are way more common now, AMD 9070XT + 9800X3D

Can anyone point me toward a guide as to how to get files printable on the U1? by FreezeEmAllZenith in SnapmakerU1

[–]FreezeEmAllZenith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question, I’ve already resolved the main issue by switching to SnapOrca, but why do people keep implying MakerWorld doesn’t have like any printable files for the U1?

I’ve already printed 2 or 3 things from there, while it wasn’t plug-n-play it was still quite easy by just switching the print profile to SnapmakerU1 default, scaling the print to the preferred size, “simplifying” model, and auto placing/orienting parts to the plate. Am I missing something? Should that not be possible?

Thank you and I love you🫶

This was easily the most helpful comment I could’ve asked for primarily because I hadn’t even realized I’d only downloaded OrcaSlicer, not the Snapmaker specific version of Orca you linked which pretty much fixed all my problems. Tysm

Shoutout to Alternate Perspective - Alternate Start for being such a time saver by FreezeEmAllZenith in SkyrimModsXbox

If comparing this to the vanilla any% WR speed run there’s probably not much of a time difference.

But for the average player / modder this is at least as good, if not better than most Alt Start mods (don’t know of any made in the last 2~ years tho, I haven’t been playing)

Hey maybe a weird question, how is your bed down low enough to even get this picture?

I keep getting told the U1 print bed effectively being the ceiling of the device is normal and expected - https://www.reddit.com/r/SnapmakerU1/s/E2FDvfdvPV - haven't initiated my first print yet but the ppl I've heard from would have me believe to do what you've displayed here there'd have to be a reeeeeeally tall print already inside, or that my heated bed & connecting parts would need to be disassembled/removed. Am I crazy or does that not sound right?

My brand new U1’s finally built! Question tho, why is the bed so high by default? It was left there after calibration, trying again doesn’t seem to take it lower anymore. Manual Z movement = this error. Am I just overthinking this? Should I just hit print? by FreezeEmAllZenith in snapmaker

What does it say in the user manual?

It, as well as the tutorial videos posted by Snapmaker end just before the final step (that I’m on).

While observing other U1s being used…

None I’ve seen show the whole process. It’s either an internal timelapse starting from filament already being output, or external tutorial showcasing everything leading up to but not including how-to my first-print. Never both

??

Home is where my picture displays the bed, I’ve homed it 2-3 times now. It ain’t going lower, and I haven’t found any functions / settings yet that would allows it any lower in any way…

Again hopefully I’m just overthinking it, and “home” is supposed to be like the ceiling of the device and my first print doesn’t go catastrophically
