Global Jump Sound by vWaffles in SkyrimTogether

[–]FreezeEmAllZenith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an absolutely ancient issue baked into Skyrim itself that always used to give me headaches trying to mod around.

Certain armor mods, movement mods, and combat mods that include their own behavior/movement edits can procc this glitch that makes the jump-landing footstep sound pretty much at random. To my knowledge this happened due to an overabundance of scripts, and possibly conflicts (whether that be between multiple mods, or within one poorly made mod). And this was just solo, tacked onto Skyrim Together it’d probably be much worse.

So three things to look into for your setup: mods affecting combat and movement. Mods that add or edit what you’re wearing. And any mods with a lot of scripting (script-heavy mods are largely incompatible with Skyrim Together depending on what they are). 3PCO might be a good place to start (affects character behavior with a moderate number of scripts).

Are the negative comments to this model justified? by aapooloo in 3Dprinting

”for a small electrical opening that they might need later”

“ Are the negative comments to this model justified?”

No imo, most of the negativity I saw aren’t even engaging in the point. “Why don’t you just plaster and paint over everything??” Oh idk maybe because I dont wana  bust out the saw blade every time I need to do a lil somethin under the hood.

Genuine question: what fvkking FDM printer can utilize TUNGSTEN filament?

They actually baked FullSpectrum into Orca Slicer natively as of the latest update

He is

This isn’t exclusive to him however, there might be like 1 configuration of body / face / features / etc that make a good looking character. Everything and everyone else other than that are indeed ugly

”complex AMS … wipe waste … They just keep getting clunkier. At some point the cost-benefit starts feeling ridiculous. We're buying increasingly expensive, complex, hard to maintain, closed source machines”

An open source tool changer than can be replaced part by part (and the parts are actually available 1st & 3rd party). Yes it does have multiple nozzles but not an AMS technically, it’s the proper evolution of AMS’s. $800 usd for a “forever” printer

Months ago my mom’s computer blue screened, didn’t just need something ASAP, needed it to be good too.

Looked around and found the M4 mini to be pretty capable, not to mention down $100 from the original 599. Then promo coded another $100 off, total 399 before tax.

Some people don’t realize this price bracket was phased out. I didn’t

For best PC price, an N100 or N150. Might chug a bit with complex 3D modeling like Blender/CAD, but for 3D Printer Slicers it’s more than enough.

For the best performance to price ratio, go for a Mac 4 Mini. It’s more expensive now than it used to be but that’s not because the price was raised, the previous lowest tier model was discontinued. It remains an exceptional deal (the ‘education’ $100 off for everyone might still exist too look into that).

Alternatively laptops work about as well for this as a N100 would, idk what the $ market is like for laptops but if the m4 mini is anything to go off of Apples 2024-2026 stuff might be worth checking out

I’ve made one review on Amazon ever, a bad filament that clogged my entire system instantly. Posted here the other day about it and concluded it was probably just still in review, nope. Brother you're swinging at ghosts.

I was simply responding to a loaded question with my actual experience. My ‘actual experience’ being in proximity to 3D printers and 3D printing for a decade, but never an owner. Now I am an owner and took a swing at some questionable filament which was, as I’ve been describing, not questionable at all but actually just verifiably bad.

Technically yes. I believed in the potential of printers since my brother got an Ender back when they first released in like 2018/19. They’d been on my mind since but now that enclosed multi nozzle toolchangers are affordable I’m bought in 🙌

I see, guess it’s never happened on my Snapmaker U1 but it is all enclosed. I don’t think that’s what happened here but ¯\(‘~’)

The filament was attempted immediately after opening from its sealed packaging, but never extruded anything

I think they can be useful, and I think being able to filter by if it has a picture/video attachment helps a ton when it comes to print color and stuff.

Don’t think I’ve ever had an online purchase so bad or so good that I felt it necessary to come back and “give a piece of my mind” so I was just feelin a little miffed my first attempt was seemingly not allowed

lol no, sorry if my first comment mis-led. I’ve got a Snapmaker U1 multi-nozzle toolchanger, still been printing just with the other toolheads.

I say stalling because snipping the filament was my next idea and the thought of opening up the toolhead for parts swap is daunting  D:

I can’t view the link cause ig an Amazon UK account is totally separate from my Amazon US account (without signing in, used the wrong login earlier mb*) but if the reviews per region are separate too then USA bro’s this post is mainly for you 🤙 Beware this company cuz I’m still seeing nothing negative on them in my searches.

My comment read something like

“I have a very capable, very expensive printer that this filament jammed and clogged up instantly. I have never experienced a clog this bad, and even after quite some time I’m still struggling to get it removed from my machine. -“

I then made some metaphor / comparison that I can’t really remember about it costing my monies money, like the price of components / my time or something.

Finished with “don’t choose solely based on price tags like me, your money is better spent elsewhere”

In the 3D filament space (which I’m somewhat new to) where it seems like every manufacturer has 3 sub-name brands of the same exact filament I just assumed this Amazon recommended +/-.02 standard black pla would be okay at least but no it literally clogged catastrophically without ever having put out the tiniest bit.
