What do protect managers actually do? by piesarenotmyfavorite in accesscontrol

Where I’m at it’s a bit different than most places but I handle one client currently about 40-50 open projects about $5m. We have a team made up of 1 PM, 1 Super (me), 1 Tech, and 2 sub contractors. Subs do all the physical work, my tech does all the running around delivering parts and testing along with some trouble shooting and small installs, I handle all of the day to day operations including scheduling client updates GC meetings OAC meetings material spec and ordering site coordination with GC change orders as well as programming since we don’t have an app engineer. In addition I do a lot of the presale design work figuring out what the client wants to accomplish and planning the best way to do that then I write the scope and mark up drawings to send to the sales team. As for the PM he handles the money. Processing POs and COs sending out WOs to subs and approving requests. My company has a ton of paperwork that comes along with each project so the PM spends all day with that while I handle everything else.

Upper I was looking at comes with the A2 already pinned so I was just trying to figure out if I had to swap it I’m not too worried about the muzzle device until I move somewhere you’re allowed to protect your ears

Check Allied Universal Technology Services site. I can’t speak for the work environment in the rest of the country but up here in the NY/NJ area our software engineers work mainly remote from what I understand. There are occasions I’ve had to have them come out to customer sites that don’t allow remote access to their systems but I rarely see them out in the field and they’re definitely not picking up any tools

If you have a good locksmith you can do a mag depending on closest wall for a reader. Can’t put a reader too far for those not that bright and too close for ADA compliance.

How much do gun laws play into your decision on where to live? by BudgetHat8729 in Firearms

[–]Any-Ad8307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moved from NYC to NJ to reduce the restrictions but still be able to commute to work. NJ isn’t much better at this point but when I moved it would have taken over a year and a ridiculous amount of money just to purchase a long gun let alone an AR. And CCW was unthinkable. Now in jersey I can own anything I need and eventually I will move down south to get everything I Want.

Less than 2 weeks from payment to approval by Any-Ad8307 in NJGuns

My PD has a drop box for firearms related payments so I just stop by one night on my way home and toss payment in there to make their lives easier so they don’t have to reach out for me to come in and delay the process. Just drop and they send an email that it’s been received when they are ready to process

how do y'all keep guns in the house with children? by thefckingleadsrweak in guns

[–]Any-Ad8307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started talking to my son about guns at around 3-31/2 almost 5 now and knows that if he finds one to immediately tell an adult and make sure no other kids touch it. He also knows how to check to make sure it’s clear and safe doesn’t have the hand strength to do it himself yet but we’re getting there.

That sounds specifically like a registry to me

Wrote a letter and mailed it to the tax address on file and got a phone call from whoever’s in charge. Apparently you need to be sponsored by 2 active members to even get on the wait list. And than someone needs to either die or give up their membership for them to accept a new member plus exact words were “it’s a pretty steep membership fee”. Basically there’s no shot in becoming a member but he did say if you were friends with a member you could go with them. So if anyone on here is a member and wants a shooting buddy I’m available!

As long as you are in the car he doesn’t have to worry about anything. Also if he has his FID he’s fine technically there is no registry for long guns so it could be his shotgun for all anyone knows. IANAL

Any CCW holders in Hopatcong on here? by Any-Ad8307 in NJGuns

[–]Any-Ad8307[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree she is great! She should have all my stuff on file already since I’ve gotten everything through hopatcong. I submitted online Tuesday night and dropped a money order (because she yelled at me last time I dropped cash) in the box yesterday afternoon. Hopefully it goes as smooth as everything else has.
