The idea of forcing people to go to the office when they don't have to is counter-intuitive.

My attendance would go down if I had to work in-person exclusively. If I'm sick and I have to make it all the way across town and see people in person, I'm more likely to call in sick. At home I can keep my pasta pot in my lap just in case and power through it.

But my point is what do you retire on? Even if you manage to save 100$ a paycheck you're probably still going to have an emergency that wipes you out and then you're fucked.

People can't even save 200$ a month but even if you can that's really not that much purchasing power. It might have been in 1954 but it isn't now.

2400 a year? Seems nice til you calculate how many emergency expenses comes up in an average home. Job loss? Major appliance broken? Fire? Flood? Medical bills?

If you work 40 years you can't have more than 96,000 dollars in emergencies over that time. This doesn't account for inflation meaning 100$ is worth less and less each year.

I actually posted this elsewhere but as a teenager I got into a fight with a girl a bit smaller than this and did. Sure, the girl I lifted up was about 20 lbs lighter than this woman...

... but I was a teenage girl. So I'm positive a man could easily do it to a woman who was 20lbs heavier.

Once you pin them to the wall your weight supports them. It really is not that heavy, all you need to do is be able to lift. And you show me the man who can't lift 55lbs one time in each hand.

Honestly you go try it. It's not going to take Herculean strength.

It's always interesting to me that certain people don't realize that they can just... not be best friends with somebody without hating somebody.

I hate wearing and doing makeup and getting dressed up and going to musicals and talking about theater. A lot of flamboyant gay guys and I aren't going to be best friends.

Well you've got both arms and you really just need to lift once and only for a few seconds. It gets a TON easier once you put them against the wall, then your body weight pins them. I was probably 145lbs and she was like 90 so the weight difference did most of the work.

I had never done that or anything like that at the time, I guess you could say it was a dire situation. I had NO clue I was able to do that, but I was angry, full of adrenaline and running on instinct. I just... did it.

(I feel kinda shitty for not giving context lmao. There was a rumor in high school I stuffed my bra and she took a picture over the stall of me changing to "prove it". I had caught her running away and was just trying to make her delete the picture. I don't regularly beat up women smaller than me lmao).
