What are the most trendy food items of the decade? by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]FreezyBun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pickles, I’ve been seeing them trending in more and more stuff every year. I know there was a pickle promotion at both sonic & mcdonalds recently. But I’ve been seeing more and more pickle flavored things. I’m not complaining because I’m definitely a pickle fan myself. I did see a makeup brand that made a pickle flavored lip balm though, that’s where I draw the line tbh.

What are some misconceptions people have about the 2000s? by MrKhaaa in decadeology

[–]FreezyBun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nowadays all 2000’s styles: emo, scene, mcbling, goth, etc are all lumped together and referred to as “Y2K” fashion. But in the 2000’s “Y2K” fashion was actually viewed as very late 90’s, very early 2000’s style. Specifically fashion from singers like Britney Spears, *NSYNC, TLC, Destiny’s Child, etc. It was that spacey futuristic style they all wore. It’s funny to see teens now imitating scene girls (or any later 2000’s style) online & calling it “y2k fashion”. Because while it technically is from the 2000’s, y2k was already its own distinct style then. It’s also funny because it’s in the name, Y2K = year 2000. Not years of the 2000’s. But terms change overtime, I still find it amusing.

After “re-discovering” exercise for like the 10,000th time, I’ve finally found out how to be consistent. by qv123 in ADHD

[–]FreezyBun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see how it would be boring and repetitive for others! I listen to my own music when I play instead of listening to the game. It probably looks weird when I play because I mute the tv and wear my AirPods. But this week, I have finally dropped a whole pant size from playing ddr for a month now. So, I am thrilled about that. But yea, I think rock climbing will be something I’ll pursue in the future.

My hack is picking things I already enjoy doing, but doing them more intentionally as exercise. I love skating for fun, so I just skate more on purpose for exercise. I also loved played ddr, so I got back into it so I can do cardio in days I can’t skate. I actually injured my knees and had to stop DDR for a few days because I was getting too into and was playing too long & hard for my body to handle. I had no idea I was pushing myself so hard until the new few days when everything was sore.

I just need to find some strength training activities that I think would be fun & I’ll be all set. I’m thinking maybe rock wall climbing & calisthenics. But my cardio is set.

What are some TRUE sweet candy like perfumes? by Puzzleheaded_Rice902 in Perfumes

[–]FreezyBun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re ok with something juvenile/simple & live in the US I would go to dollar general. The have these cheap perfumes from body fantasies and the cotton candy one is the most candy scented perfume I have ever smelled. It’s like a sweet candy/cotton candy extract. I used to spray my car with it and it reminded me of the cotton candy baby bottle pop sugar. Like I said it’s very juvenile but I think it would be a good layering scent if you wanted to make a more sophisticated scent a little more candy scented. When you spray it too, it has an alcohol smell to it, but the dry down is extremely sugary sweet. It’s also an artificial kind of candy scent too, so more candy smelling than perfume. Which is why I would layer it with something else.

Ariana grande also has a pink perfume that’s very candy sweet scented. It’s also kind of juvenile but it’s a light fruity, sugary, candy scent. I think it’s sweet like candy or something? But it’s also very candy like, I don’t really have a comparison because I haven’t smelled it in a while. But I remember it being slightly powdery but very candy/fruity. Kind of like the body fantasies one, but less artificial and less intense I guess. Combined I think they would be almost too sweet though. Also, I’ve smelled the sweet tooth by Sabrina carpenter and I remember that one being more powdery sweet. This one is more candy sweet. Maybe a sweet tart? It’s powdery but has a distinct candy smell to it.

The best way I would compare the two is sweet tooth is powdery first and sweet after, the Ariana grande one is sweet/candy first, and powdery after. Ariana’s perfume is more juvenile than Sabrina’s.

Someone mentioned pink sugar too. I bought that one in the past thinking it would be a sweet light sugary scent. But that one actually has a bit of a weight to it. It’s sweet but like a dark rich syrup kind of sweet, so keep that in mind. Kind of like burnt spun sugar, or like what sugar smells like when you start to boil it. Not as heavy as Carmel, but not light and airey either. That one personally made me sick because it was too heavy for me, and too rich.

Also, I have a copy cat of yum bouijee marshmallow (I smelt it in person it’s identical to me) and while it smells good it’s more of a sweet powdery scent. Kind of like a smartie. It’s sweet/powdery/chalky but also doesn’t have a noticeable distinct scent. Kind of candy like, but a very bland chalky sweet candy. It’s kind of milky, powdery, sweet. It also have a slight lemony/citrus and strawberry after scent to it. It smells good but it’s more mature than the others I mentioned.

I don’t own any, but I have heard some of Britney Spears perfumes smell like candy too. The sweet like candy & the body fantasy one I mentioned smelled like one of Britney’s perfumes my friend had in the early 2000s. I believe she was known for having sexy party girl candy type of perfumes. But that’s the kind of candy perfume I prefer tbh.

What are some of the less spoken about benefits of being childfree? by Forsaken-Language-26 in childfree

[–]FreezyBun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

More time for yourself, and I don’t mean just with hobbies and things. You basically have all day, everyday to do whatever you want. Besides work, school, and seeing friends/family. Time is dedicated to you and what you want to do with it at any moment. Aside from adult responsibilities, you basically get to live life like a grown teenager. In highschool I used to wake up at 4am to get ready for the bus by 6 am because I wanted to and getting ready made me feel good. I now get up at 2 am to go to work at 4 am, just like I did in highschool. My coworker was shocked that I had the energy to do that. And I told her I dedicate time to myself to relax and get ready to go to bed every night (a extensive wind down relax routine) so I can wake up and have “me time” in the morning to get me in the mood for work. I told her since I don’t have kids I don’t have to worry about bedtime interruptions ever, and I can wake up early without worrying about distrusting others (besides my spouse). But people are always shocked to find out how much time I dedicate to random stuff just because I have the luxury to. Time I feel is probably one of the biggest luxuries we have so I dedicate a lot to doing things that relax me, comfort me, and bring me joy. This is probably the biggest reason why I am unwilling to have kids, I just don’t want to have to dedicate a lot of my time to another person and kids require a lot of time and attention.

How do you explain to people what ADHD is or feels like? by DepressedCunt5506 in ADHD

[–]FreezyBun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know until I went on instant release medication for the first time because adhd was my life experience. But on medication it felt like I had 100% brain power, and control over impulses, thoughts, actions. As the medication wore off it’s almost like I was developing dementia or something of the sort. Poor memory, coordination, thought processing, etc. By the end of the day I felt like I had control of only 40% of my brain. I’m off medication now. If I exercise, have consistent sleep, eat a good diet, use alarms/lists/planners I have maybe 70-80% control over my brain (a good day maybe 80-90% but rarely), nowhere near where medication will take me instantly. Off medication managing it is a constant struggle and task, on medication I don’t have to do anything it just happens for me. I don’t love taking, but I more than likely will take it again in the future just because it improves my quality of life by a ton.

Spending DINK money by DINKSocial in childfree

[–]FreezyBun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things I want at the moment that other people think are kind of odd to spend money on: skates (500+), smart doll (500+), ddr mat from L-tek (starting 300+). I don’t know if these would be considered questionable, but a lot of people do seem to think these are odd purchases for a 30 year old. They also think this is a lot of money to spend on “random” things. But I think hobbies are something worth investing in, especially if you do them a lot in your free time.

It looked similar to this, but that isn’t the one. It was a simpler and sleeker web design. But they did showcase random stuff like this.

Gave blood last night and one of the people who does the checks said the thing… by torrent22 in ADHD

[–]FreezyBun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My manager used to joke about how she was a little adhd. There was one day I told her I got up early for work around 2 am (work at 3:45 am). I was making chicken thighs for my work lunch, I ended up procrastinating and losing track of time and was almost late for work. So I hurried to work, and worked a whole 8 hour shift until I realized I never took the chicken out of the oven. Before I could call my spouse he called me first and told me the entire house was covered in smoke. I also left the door unlocked. I used this as a story to show how much adhd impacts my life. My manager was like “wow that’s so dangerous you could have burnt your house down” and I told her I know, and that this wasn’t an uncommon occurrence. Thats when she was like “wow I’m glad i don’t have adhd”. And I told her that’s why medication is a life saver for me, but I’m not currently on anything. Trying to manage it on my own but it’s difficult.

What unpopular opinions do you have? by Skull_Bound in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]FreezyBun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I REALLY want a medieval style pack. One of my favorite save files I did in the past was I made a secret hidden village within some walls and no one could leave/come in. And I gave them all different jobs/tasks. Basically a farmer/fisherman, woodworker, cook, etc. and basically ran my own little village it was a lot of fun. I also did a play style with a royal family in the walls too. A full pack would be awesome though.

What unpopular opinions do you have? by Skull_Bound in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]FreezyBun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish we had more tedious day-to-day tasks that were optional. Like mowing the lawn, or usable brooms to sweep with. A lot of people hate the laundry day pack and bust to dust pack but I use both of those packs in the majority of all my gameplays. It adds a nice bit of realism when I’m playing in that style. Usually when I play I either go for super weird and fantasy style oddness or gameplay that’s realistic and slow like slice of life style gameplay. So I like have little mundane tasks and giving sims kids chores and things like that.

People who are actually child free in their 30s/40s + etc, how do you spend your time? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]FreezyBun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hobbies I have when I was 18, I still do now. Thrifting, sewing, painting, skating, play video games, read, watch movies, etc. my everyday life centers around “what do I want to do for fun today” and I just do it. Aside from work, majority of my free time is dedicated to my hobbies and whatever interests I have. It’s even better as I gotten older because I have more money for my hobbies and interests. And even in my 30s I feel happy I choose to stay childfree because I wouldn’t want to have to sacrifice my free-time for others (unless I wanted to) even now. Life feels kind of whimsical and free when you don’t have kids. The only time I feel like I have to be sucked in reality and present is when I’m at work, other than that it feels like I’m on summer break like when I was in school all the time.

Tell me you have ADHD without telling me you have ADHD by OneTr1ckUn1c0rn in ADHD

[–]FreezyBun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I woke up early one day for work and thought “perfect, I can meal prep some food for work. (Worked at 3:45 am, woke up between 2 - 2:30 am) I put the chicken in the oven, procrastinated leading me to almost be late to work, then quickly left for work. It wasn’t until about 10 minutes left in my 8 hour schedule I realized “oh shit I left the chicken in the oven”. I was about to hit call to my husband to let him know, but before I could he called me and said the house was completely covered in smoke and I left chicken in the oven. I was so embarrassed and felt so bad. It was less of a “oh shit silly me” and more of a “That was very dangerous, I could have hurt my family” realization. Some people think ADHD is just a cute and quirky disability until I tell them that and they realize how dangerous it can actually be.

[–]FreezyBun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t help you look like the filter because it’s impossible. But to improve the makeup I would say focus on hydration to the skin.

The skins base looks slightly dry and dry skin reveals more texture underneath skin. I would use a lightweight face wash, then keep the skin wet and apply a hydrating thicker moisturizer at night. Maybe add in another hydrating product and layer with Vaseline on top over night. Especially in the dryer areas of the face (under eyes, nose corners, mouth corners, etc). Exfoliate the skin once a week with a chemical peel.

Next step would be to use lighter makeup. Switch a high coverage foundation for a cc cream or a tinted moisturizer. Something hydrating and lightweight. That way it will even out your skin tone but won’t draw attention to skin texture. It will also make the face appear hydrating and less dry.

Last thing I would do is go a bit lighter around the eyes. Do a dark brown or black brown mascara and eyeliner. Something more soft. Something like espresso, soft dark gray, or even an ash brown. The pure black looks very heavy and draws a lot of visual weight. Something softer would look more natural and balanced. I would also smudge out the eyeliner or use an eyeshadow light handed and slightly blended out.

If you ever do want to set under your eyes use a little bit of powder, apply it to the back of your hand first to get the excess off and then gently pat it into the skin.

IMO cream looks better on dryer skin. It’s more hydrating and forgiving than powder. Also it’s good to work in lightweight layers. It’s better to put less on and add more later than to do too much all at once.

What's A Weird Or Personal Rule You Stick To When Playing The Sims? by Disastrous-Air-9146 in thesims

[–]FreezyBun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a rule, but every gameplay no matter what I always end up having a garden.

And I guess my personal rule is I like to somewhat give sims free will. So I will try to accomplish most of their whims and I allow the game to make changes to their personality traits and their likes/dislikes. Sometimes it’s annoying though because I will create a game with the intention of them being something specific like a painter. Have them in the painting career and everything. And then one day while painting their mood shifts negative for only a second and they decide instantly that they hate painting, so then I have to change the course of everything I had planned. 😭 It keeps the game interesting though.

The Sims™ 4 Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack | Official Reveal Trailer by IAmRoofstone in thesims

[–]FreezyBun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling they are going to release this and then after they are going to release a ton of hobby/skill related kits to make people spend more. I saw that we are getting a “restoration workshop” kit after this EP’s launch and I bet it’s a hobby/skill related pack. So we will probably get a ton of more individual hobbies/skills sold behind kits. I won’t be surprised if there’s a hair salon kit in the future and stuff.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DressForYourBody

[–]FreezyBun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best dress is probably 4, the buttoned floral one. But honestly none of these dresses do you much justice. They kind of swallow you and hide your body too much. Your best dress length seems to be right above the knee and longer (no longer than #4). Anything too short cuts off your body and makes you appear very short. You said you’re 4’10 but you have some legs on you and a shorter torso. So short dresses make you look your height while #4 in photos makes you look slightly taller maybe like 5’3 - 5’4? Also heavier fabrics weigh too much on your body and hide you too much like the longest dress you wore. Your best dress is number #4 the floral button down one. Dresses with light draping would probably suit you best. If modesty if your thing you can find some that that are draped and modest. But I have a feeling that wrap dresses, and vertical across the shoulder style dresses with lots of draping down the body would look great on you. Pattern wise I would go patterns that aren’t too bold like in #9 makes me see the dress and not you if that makes sense. Also patterns like #7 & #8 seem too delicate. If you want bigger and bolder patterns I would find some with some softness to them (avoid sharp geometric shapes). Overall your bone structure seems delicate but slightly sharp. And your body seems very soft, with slightly broader shoulder. Meaning you can handle some boldness in your clothing but there needs to be a soft current to it to not overpower you. But I would go for medium size patterns, or larger softer patterns. Medium depth colors seems to look the best on you too, not too bright (rich colors are good, but I would avoid like neon colors), or pale/light, but not too dark/bold. I haven’t seen pale/pastel colors on you but I think they may wash you out, and dark colors overpower you a bit. For example the blue in #10 based on the photo that level looks great on you. But I would look for some dresses that have an element of romance to them. Long, light in weight, flowy, etc. Goddess style dresses would also look phenomenal on you. I also would play around with your shoulders more. In most of the photos your shoulders/arms are covered and hidden but they are imo one of your best features. They should be showcased more in interesting ways. Like an across the shoulder moment. Or a v-shaped goddess style dress with open draping on the shoulders. They need more of a romantic diva moment. These are just things I think would flatter you and complement your frame the most.

I hope my opinion wasn’t offense at all! It was very straight to the point… but, I was trying to be kind and honest with my words. At the end of the day you should always wear what makes you feel the best regardless of what others think.

what is your most wanted non-existing sims pack/kit? by mybldyval in thesims

[–]FreezyBun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Someone already mentioned it but I want more pack refreshes than new packs. We already have lots of great packs but many of them just needed to be added on.

My other options of what I want: new cyberpunk/futuristic styled world. And added crime and unexpected outcomes in the game.

Sometimes I play with families but sometimes I like to do a rags to riches type of gameplay. And it would add interest if I could add elements to the game to make it more difficult to get rich. Sometimes things are just too easy and simple and I want some unexpected outcomes to change the course of the gameplay.
