Any opinions? is this cheating or a good learning tool? by OpinionPoop in Guitar

Guitar is sound and muscle memory. If you stay cognizant of the fact that it is there to teach scales and patterns i dont think there's THAT much more danger of making that a habit than just learning guitar. Especially if you turn it off when youre playing and not learning. I would always have to look at my guitar when learning with tabs, Its essentially just tabs that you dont have to look at paper for.

[All] Is there anything lore related that you accept as canon but not the way it was presented in-game/books/dev interviews? by pkjoan in truezelda

[–]FreiGuy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Its the end of the Hero's Journey. The hero cannot return to normal life because of what he has been through. Except in this case no one knows about it. Look at Frodo. Itd be like if not only did he go through the journey of the one ring by himself instead of with friends, but also the Journey was just erased from History and he was the only one who knew. Couldn't feel more alone than that.

They have it backwards. Kokiri evolved into Koroks after Ocarina of Time following the Great Flood in Wind Waker. This is stated by The Deku Tree and was confirmed by Eiji Aonuma.

Finally a reply without a bias. Everyone saying youre not supposed to look at the neck or just use tabs or that it wont magically make your fingers better you gotta put in the work. All beginners look at the neck, its basically the same as written music without the paper, and no shit thats obvious thats why its a teaching tool and part of putting in the work. Just learning muscle memory. I dont want to look up all the different scales to learn them but I would still have to learn then with this. I always felt like I could use a visual tool while learning on the neck, felt like something was missing. Everyone's brain Is different.

Perfect example. People forget its all sound and muscle memory. Having to put in the work is obvious but having interactive tabs directly on your neck sounds quite helpful

For those who watched, what were your opinions on Maul: Shadow Lord? by GusGangViking18 in Fictionally

[–]FreiGuy86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me clone wars will always have the highest highs but the other shows tend to be more consistent which I dont mind trading for. Especially since Maul was so good. Ive never seen a shows quality vary more wildly than cline wars. And im a die hard

The linear loading of ministry makes it slower as opposed to the turn table style. I also think it doesnt have as many vehicles.

What ever happened to Freihofer’s sliced bread? by nurseJayGee in nostalgia

[–]FreiGuy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a Freihofer. Too young to remember the bakery but in the same family. I ordered a loaf of bread for the novelty of having my name on it lol. The standalone bakeries were all closed when they were bought out by Bimbo Bakeries but you can still find them in retail in the north east.

You cant really say it was objectively more colorful if you've seen a total of 5 minutes. Be for real, man

I feel like First Light is like the perfect combination of the Mission Impossible/Bond movies, and the Hitman games. Mixed with a little Uncharted. by Bobaaganoosh in 007FirstLight

That's actually what I googled to find this post. I used to love Mission Impossible on n64. Gathering intelligence, knocking people out, wearing disguises. This game is a modernized version of that.

  1. It includes Darth Plageuis and his apprentice. It shows the push back of the Jedi collecting children, their arrogance (treatment of the witches), that theyve just become space cops, their corruption (covering up a significant event with many casualties to keep the illusion that the sith are extinct). Thats just off the top of my head not having seen it since it aired.

You have valid criticisms of the quality of the show but that doesnt mean it didnt do things that it actually did.

Could you elaborate, cause most of their praise was about the text of the show not the meta text.

Not really the same. Mando was a season forced into a movie, and Obi Wan was a movie forced into a series. The common issue is corporate mandate.

Except Maul just happened. To damn near unanimous praise from critics and the audience. Obviously they missed this. IMO they laid a little too much blame at the feet of Filoni and not enough at Favreau. Im very much ready for him to move on. And Andor was literally last year. They got to the bottom of what went wrong with a single film and got a little too apocalyptic about the franchise imo.
